Kamala Harris' latest plans are adding fuel to the speculations about a potential White House run in 2028.

According to Fox News, Harris will soon attend a major Democratic Party cattle call as she is slated to speak at the National Action Network's 35th Anniversary Convention in New York City on Friday. The event will reportedly be hosted by the civil rights organisation's founder, the Rev. Al Sharpton.

Harris and other potential Democratic presidential candidates will get an opportunity to speak to prominent Black leaders and activists who are some of the most important members in the party's base. This move is sure to spark more chatter about Harris possibly eyeing the 2028 presidential elections.

Kamala Harris Signalling 2028 White House Bid?

A veteran Democratic strategist from Harris' orbit spoke with Fox News regarding the former Vice President's potential White House bid. "Of course, we are reading tea leaves," they said, before adding, "the only signal that is very clear is that she is going to continue to be an incredibly important fighting force and voice for Democrats and for the country."

Harris stepped back from the political scenario after losing out to President Donald Trump in the 2024 elections, as she reportedly fell short by 200,000 votes. She made her comeback last summer as she started headlining Democratic National Committee fundraisers.Her six-month-long book tour for her memoir about the 2024 campaign is finally coming to a close, but there is no doubt that the tour helped her remain in the spotlight.

Kamala Harris' Deep South Swing in April

Harris is also set to swing through Democratic Party events in four states in the Deep South this April. She recently announced plans to visit North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Arkansas. According to a message sent by the former Vice President's campaign, her trips to the southern states will serve as an opportunity to "uplift Democrats and continue building our power in the South." Her appearances will also help raise funds for those state parties.

CNN reported that Harris will first attend fundraisers for the North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia state parties in the week starting April 13. She will then deliver a keynote address at the Arkansas Democrats' annual Fisher Shackelford Dinner in Little Rock on April 25. A person with inside knowledge told the news outlet that she might make similar stops through the summer and fall.

Harris has been stepping up her presence on the campaign trail, recently recording advertisements for the Democratic National Committee as well as Virginia Democrats, as early voting begins ahead of the state's April 21 congressional redistricting referendum.
