JD Vance’s Tryst with Makeup

According to Nicki Swift, one of the rumors that is still very prevalent for Vance is that he wears makeup during his public appearances. Some eagle-eyed internet users claimed this after closely analyzing his photos. One of the photographers who photographed him suggested on X that he may wear makeup.

His wife, Usha Vance, tried to debunk the rumors subtly in August 2024, saying that his eyelashes are entirely his own and joking that she is a little envious of them. Makeup artist Luna Viola also spoke to the publication, highlighting the possibility of him applying eyeliner on his lower lid, though she believed that his upper lash line was entirely his own. Vance neither confirmed nor denied these rumors.

Vance’s Alleged Crude “Sofa” Joke Spread Like Wildfire

In July 2024, a social media user on X highlighted a crude intimate joke about the former corporate lawyer. The user stated, “Can't say for sure but he might be the first VP pick to have admitted in a New York times bestseller to [expletive] an inside-out latex glove shoved between two couch cushions (Vance, Hillbilly Elegy, pp. 179-181)."

However, the rumor was found to be a false one, and it was not mentioned in Vance’s book, Hillbilly Elegy. However, the rumor still refuses to die down and continues to haunt him even today. Some internet users alleged that people were looking at a different edition of his memoir. Some social media users circulated purported screenshots from his book showing his "experiences" with the couch on the eve of his wedding to Usha. His critics continue to target him over the "couch joke."

Speculations were rife that JD Vance was twice married before Usha Vance

Vance and Usha Vance’s marriage does not catch a break from rumors. Speculations were rife that the VP was married before Usha. It all started after an Threads user wrote, “Vance, twice divorced, chastised others for divorcing.”

While Vance does have a strong anti-divorce ideology, the rumors surrounding his earlier marriages turned out to be false. One of his critics also admitted to the same and wrote, “JD has only married once to Usha! As much as I loathe him, I loathe misinformation and gossip more.” His spokesperson also said to USA Today, “Senator Vance was not married prior to his marriage with Usha.”
