Insider Claims Tiger Woods' Rehab Stint Following DUI Arrest a 'Carefully Orchestrated Stunt'
Tiger Woods is currently undergoing treatment at a Swiss facility following his DUI crash last month.
An insider has shared details about the golf icon's 90-day inpatient rehab in Zurich. Woods reportedly had no choice but to go into rehab, or he could have lost millions in endorsement deals.
Talking about Woods' rehab stint, a source told Radar Online, "This is h*ll for him because he's away from his kids [Sam and Charlie] and girlfriend [Vanessa Trump]. But he had no other choice. He could lose millions in endorsement deals if he doesn't get his act together."
According to the media outlet, the insider claimed that Woods' rehab stint is a "carefully orchestrated stunt" meant to polish his public image and safeguard the millions he earns through endorsements with brands like Monster Energy drinks, Rolex, Bridgestone and others.
"He wants to protect what remains of his reputation, and of course his bank account," said the source, adding, "A tiger can't change his stripes."

An insider with knowledge of the situation told the Daily Mail, "He's got a pain management doctor who is helping him deal with his body pain without addictive opioids."
They further added that Woods calls or gets on Zoom to talk to a few close people, including his girlfriend and former model, Vanessa Trump, his kids, and sports agent Mark Steinberg.
"He's responding well to treatment, and Vanessa is very happy with what she's hearing," the source said.
Tiger Woods' DUI Arrest
On March 27, 2026, Woods, 50, was involved in a rollover car crash, which led to his arrest on suspicion of DUI.
The five-time Masters champ slammed his Range Rover SUV into the back of a trailer near his Jupiter home in Florida, causing his car to flip over to its side.
Officials said that Woods showed signs of impairment, although a breathalyzer test did not detect any alcohol. However, he reportedly refused a urine test. According to the Daily Mail, drug recognition experts believe that "he was not impaired by alcohol, but on some type of medication or drug."

According to TMZ Sports, deputies said they discovered two loose white pills in Woods' pant pocket marked "M367."
They were later identified as hydrocodone, a prescription opioid used for severe pain.
When asked about medication use, Woods told officers, "I take a few."
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the news portal, Woods was sweating heavily after the crash, even though he was seated in the back of a vehicle with cool air circulating.
A deputy described his movements as "lethargic and slow" and said he showed strong signs of impairment.
When officers removed his sunglasses, they noticed his eyes were "bloodshot and glassy," and his pupils were "extremely dilated."
The affidavit also states that despite this, Woods appeared extremely alert during the investigation.
He was later released after being in police custody for eight hours.
Woods is facing charges for driving under the influence, causing property damage and refusing to take a lawful test. He has pleaded not guilty and is expected to appear in court on May 5.
