Megyn Kelly is fuming at Tiger Woods for how he tried to escape from the cops after driving under the influence. The 4-time PGA Champion was seen calling President Donald Trump as he was getting arrested last month.

The journalist launched a scathing attack against the decorated golfer, who tried to use his connections to bail himself out of trouble. Kelly was not pleased with the move, tearing him into pieces for failing to clear the sobriety test.

Megyn Kelly Sends a Blunt Message to Tiger Woods

In the most recent episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the host talked about the recently released bodycam footage during Tiger Woods' arrest. She discussed the issue with Maureen Callahan. Kelly stated that the golfer “did not kick off things on a good note.”

She credited TMZ with obtaining the police bodycam footage, which showed Woods acknowledging that he had called Trump. "He called President Trump like as soon as he rolled the car and got out of it, and the cops like were there, he called the president," Kelly said.

Kelly called the move a "douche move," arguing that Woods made it obvious he was reaching out to the president to help him out of a serious situation. She said the call suggested Woods understood he was facing what could become a "PR disaster and potentially a legal one, and both were correct."

Kelly also noted that Woods had been apologetic about his behavior that night. She added context to the relationship between the two men, noting that Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump's former daughter-in-law, is currently in a relationship with Woods, and that Trump and Woods are close friends who golf together.

Given that dynamic, Kelly acknowledged there was a slim chance the call went the other way. "I suppose there's a chance that Trump called Tiger to apologize just in a few seconds after the rollover, but I'm gonna go with Tiger called him and asked for some help," she said.

Tiger Woods Fails Sobriety Test

According to a separate report by the New York Post, authorities released video footage of Woods's sobriety test following the accident and arrest. In the footage, an officer speaks with Woods while he sits in the front of a patrol car.

When asked whether he had been drinking, Woods said he had not. He did, however, tell the officer he had taken "a few pills" that morning before getting behind the wheel. A female officer then asked him to follow her finger with his eyes as part of a sobriety check. He had hiccups throughout the test.

Separately, Woods was seen kneeling and clutching his arms while being questioned by another officer. He told police he had been on his phone before the incident. Officers searching his pockets found two white pills. He was placed in the back of a patrol car, where he continued hiccupping and eventually fell asleep.
