'Don't Know How Much Longer..': Trump’s Chilling Take on Whether Iran Can ‘Survive’
President Donald Trump has shared a stark nine-word assessment of the current state of Iran, after peace talks with Tehran failed to yield a deal.
The president recently appeared on Fox News' Mornings with Maria, where he said that he does not know how much longer the Islamic Republic can "survive" amid the ongoing war.
Trump is reported to be growing increasingly frustrated over failed peace talks with Iran that ended without a deal.
Following this, he told Mornings with Maria host Maria Bartiromo, "If they don't, we're not making a deal, so there's no deal."
"This whole thing is about no nuclear — they cannot have a nuclear weapon, and if they're going to have a nuclear weapon, we'll be living with them for a little while, but I don't know how much longer they can survive," Trump, 79, said.

Donald Trump Imposes U.S. Naval Blockade on Strait of Hormuz
Trump's remarks come just days after he announced his decision to target Iranian ports by imposing a U.S. naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump vowed to block "any and all Ships from trying to enter, or leave," the strait.
The move came as Iran continues with its partial restriction of the strait -- a key passageway for global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.
Following Trump's announcement on Sunday, April 12, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement declaring that the blockade would begin from 10 a.m. ET on Monday, April 13, and would be enforced "impartially against vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports or coastal areas."

CENTCOM also clarified that the blockade would affect only maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports. It stated that U.S. forces would not "impede freedom of navigation" for ships moving through the strait to and from other ports.
Meanwhile, according to the BBC, Iran's parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, who led Tehran's delegation during the talks held in Pakistan, said that Iran will not "surrender under threats".
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Naval Forces later said that any military vessels approaching the Strait of Hormuz will be considered a violation of the ceasefire and "dealt with severely."
'Enmity Begets Enmity'
In another Truth Social post, Trump said that after "close to 20 hours" of negotiations between top U.S. officials and Iranian authorities in Pakistan's Islamabad, Iran was "unwilling to give up its nuclear ambitions."
"Iran promised to open the Strait of Hormuz, and they knowingly failed to do so. This caused anxiety, dislocation, and pain to many people and Countries throughout the World," Trump wrote.
"As they promised, they better begin the process of getting this INTERNATIONAL WATERWAY OPEN AND FAST!" the president added.
He further stated that, "there is only one thing that matters — IRAN IS UNWILLING TO GIVE UP ITS NUCLEAR AMBITIONS!"
"In many ways, the points that were agreed to are better than us continuing our Military Operations to conclusion, but all of those points don't matter compared to allowing Nuclear Power to be in the hands of such volatile, difficult, unpredictable people," Trump went on.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that Tehran engaged in "good faith" with the U.S. during the Islamabad peace talks.
Taking to X, he wrote, "When just inches away from 'Islamabad MoU', we encountered maximalism, shifting goalposts and blockade."
"Good will begets good will. Enmity begets enmity," Araghchi added in his post.
