Donald Trump Fires Back at MAGA Rivals Including Joe Kent in Fiery Post
‘Who’s Dumber?’ Trump Tears Into Tucker Carlson and Joe Kent in Recent Post
President Donald Trump launched an attack on several conservative media figures and former allies in a recent social media statement. Among those targeted was also the National Counterterrorism Center director Joe Kent, who resigned over the Iran war. It was only last month that Kent resigned, stating that he could not “in good conscience" support the Iran conflict.
Donald Trump Takes Aim At Joe Kent
Joe Kent gave an interview with Tucker Carlson on shortly after his resignation. Trump then launched an attack on both. He took to his Truth Social on Thursday, April 16 and wrote, “Who’s dumber, Tucker Carlson or Joe Kent?”
He then recalled his meeting with Kent at Dover Air Force Base, along with other families who had lost their loved ones in war. He noted Kent “horribly” losing his wife, further taking a personal jab, adding, “Her casket was being brought to Dover, along with the rest, although he married again, quite quickly, in my opinion.”
Trump posted a lengthy note blasting Kent
Trump continued by pointing out Kent’s two election losses while he was running for Congress in Washington State. He stated that he didn’t know him beyond their brief encounter at Dover, he felt “sorry” for him and asked his officials to employ him at the White House.
He remembered telling his people, “Hire him for the White House. Give him a job, make him feel good, he lost his wife and two Elections. They did so and, while I rarely saw him, I certainly didn’t expect disloyalty, but that’s what I got.”
Trump took shots at Kent after his resignation last month.
The 79-year-old mentioned, “He was really a SLEAZEBAG, and some would say, on top of it all, A LEAKER!I don’t know whether or not that was true, but next time, NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!”
Not only this, but he also targeted other right-wing commentators, branding them “losers” as he said, “Kent is a LOSER, just like Tucker, Candace, Megyn, and the rest of them are LOSERS — You’re born that way, LOW IQ, and there’s not a d--- thing they’re going to be able to do about it!”
It was in March that Kent publicly posted his resignation on X, with a caption that read, “After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.”
He mentioned that he cannot in “good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran.” He further asserted that Iran posed no “imminent threat” to America, but the war was started following pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
Joe Kent announced his resignation last month.
Kent, who has openly pushed back against the ongoing war, had also posted a lengthy note on X a few days earlier. “If we try to impose a maximalist outcome on Iran (zero enrichment, etc.) this war will undoubtedly escalate—costing American lives, billions more dollars, and ultimately eroding our global standing,” he had opined.
According to Fox News, he had also written an opinion piece making the same argument while expressing his concern about the possibility of an “endless war” in the Middle East and called it a “war we don’t need.”
