Video Shows 14-Year-Old Boy Stomp on a Girl's Head in East Harlem After She Refused to Give Him Her Phone Number

A teenage boy in New York City was arrested after he slammed a girl to the ground and stomped on her head. A video posted on social media showed the 14-year-old boy assaulting the 15-year-old girl at the corner of East 107th Street and 3rd Avenue in East Harlem on Monday, April 21, after school let out, as reported by the New York Post.

“I’ll knock the s–t out of you right now,” the boy said to the girl as he stood in her way. In the background, another boy can be heard saying, “Do it!” Using his feet to indicate the ground, the boy said to the girl, “You stand right here.” The girl attempted to pass him, but he shoved her back, causing her to say, “Get the f--- away from me, p---.”

The attack happened after the victim rejected the teen's request for her number.

The boy grabbed her from behind and slammed onto the pavement

As reported by NYDailyNews, after the girl tried to leave, the boy grabbed her from behind and forced her onto the pavement, where he stomped her head before leaving. The girl suffered a concussion and was transported by EMS to Harlem Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition, according to police.

The 14-year-old was arrested and charged with assault. According to the New York Post, he is set to appear in family court on Thursday. The girl's mother said the attack "could have killed her." The mother also said that the boy had been harassing her for weeks.

'Her whole life has been completely flipped upside down'

The girl's mom, Lucinda Arroyo, told The Post that the 14-year-old boy attends school with her daughter and was constantly trying for her attention. The girl was deeply shocked after the bullying escalated to violence on Monday.

Arroyo, speaking from her East Harlem home Thursday, said, "she’s very upset" and that "her whole life has been completely flipped upside down right now".

“This is not even bullying, this is outright assault — and he could have killed her. She was very angry at why he escalated so quickly from one thing to another. And you can tell [in the video] she just wanted to walk away from him because he’s bad news. She’s known him as someone who’s bad news for a while", the girl's mother added.

Arroyo, speaking about the footage, said, "He just ran off and everybody’s just recording, and everybody’s just looking while this was happening to her. The video was passed around like entertainment, and that p*ssed me off the most. She’s ignoring him, so he basically forced her to pay attention to him. And his friends are laughing after that. It’s not just one bully, but community bullying."

In addition to the concussion, the girl suffered bleeding, severe headaches, a neck injury and a possible brain injury, according to her mother.
