With the midterm elections approaching, Donald Trump is once again putting election security at the center of his political messaging. In a lengthy Truth Social post, the president announced plans for what he called an “Election Integrity Army,” a nationwide effort aimed at monitoring voting processes across every state.

The move appeared to be a direct response to Democratic-led election initiatives, with Trump specifically targeting Chuck Schumer in his remarks. While supporters see the initiative as an effort to protect election fairness, critics and online observers have questioned what such an operation could actually look like in practice.

Donald Trump slams Chuck Schumer for running an Election Integrity Group.

On May 11, President Donald Trump made a lengthy TRUTH Social post, criticizing Chuck Schumer, stating that he is hiring Eric Holder, who faced criticism over the Operation Fast and Furious gun-trafficking controversy. He referred to former President Barack Obama by his full name.

Trump said he would not permit the Democratic Party to operate an 'Election Integrity Group' because they will suppress the Republican voters and interfere in their campaigns. Trump falsely claimed he had won every American state in 2024, calling it a landslide victory.

He emphasized the win of that scale was possible because the conservatives had an “Election Integrity Army” in the 50 states. This EIA helps them to “preserve the sanctity of each legal vote.” He emphasized that he would like the same thing to be repeated in 2026, but “it will be much bigger and stronger.”

Trump concluded, writing, “All Americans should have their voices be heard by casting a vote. Be assured this Election will be fair!” The President is going all out ahead of the midterm election, as he had emphasized for the Save America Act in March 2026.

According to The Washington Post, he had ramped up the pressure on the GOP members to ensure that the bill would pass in the House without fail. This will require the voters to provide government-certified proof of citizenship and government-issued photo IDs at the polls.

Furthermore, it mandates every state to hand over its voting rolls to the Department of Homeland Security, making the privacy stricter. This amount of rigidity came after he had claimed the unfair elections during the 2020 election led to his loss against Joe Biden.

‘He Was Going to Do That Anyway’

Trump's Truth Social post drew significant attention online, with many users expressing concern about the initiative. They called him out, claiming that the President was looking for any excuse to issue the Election Integrity Army.

A user wrote, “Look for Trump to create an excuse to declare martial law in October to manipulate the electoral process in favor of Republicans.” Another joined in, writing, “After the pasting that Trump, Orbán, and Putin took in Hungary, Donald feels he has to go for Broke and send his ice goons to every polling station.”

A third user added, “Just a long list of illegal s---. It’s Voter suppression, voter intimidation, and a desperate act because his policies are horrific and are demolishing America.” Another user commented, “Obama lives in his head, hilarious. Election Integrity Army is also hilarious, as fraud is apparently rampant unless, of course, it’s a GOP candidate.”
