King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s U.S. visit has already drawn significant public attention.

In a move that has sparked further discussions, President Donald Trump has reportedly instructed White House staff not to serve fast food during the king's four-day state visit.

An insider revealed that during the planning process ahead of the British monarch's state visit, staff members were given a direct order by the president regarding the same.

‘Careful Handling’ of King Charles’ Dietary Habits

According to a report by RadarOnline, an anonymous source said that the White House staff had received a clear directive before Charles' arrival.

"There was a clear directive behind the scenes that fast food should not feature in any part of the King's itinerary," the source said.

An X post details the menu for King Charles' state dinner at the White House.

The source said that failing to follow the instruction would have been perceived as "entirely out of step with his [Charles'] values," and that the contrast between Trump's dietary habits and those of Charles was profound and required "careful handling."

The insider added that Trump repeatedly told staff not to offer fast food to Charles, even as a joke.

The source also noted that while Trump's preference for fast food is well known, advisers were "keen to avoid anything that could be perceived as insensitive or discordant" in the context of the royal visit.

Charles has modified his diet since being diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, limiting himself largely to organic food, primarily vegetables and medically approved cannabis, which RadarOnline said may help him manage anxiety and pain during the treatment.

The king has also publicly opposed fast food in the past.

According to The Times, he told a nutritionist in Abu Dhabi in 2007, "Have you got anywhere with McDonald's? Have you tried getting it banned? That is the key."

He has consistently advocated for fresh and locally sourced produce and organic farming.

Melania Trump Planned the State Dinner Menu

The Sun reports that First Lady Melania Trump herself curated an extravagant banquet at the White House on the occasion of Charles and Camilla’s visit to the U.S.

Melania personally selected a four-course menu, paired with the finest American wines for the state dinner.

The purpose of the dinner was to celebrate the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom.

The first course featured a garden-vegetable velouté served with hearts of palm, toasted shallots and micro mint.

The second course was spring herbed ravioli filled with ricotta and morels, made with herbs from the White House kitchen garden.

The main course was Dover sole meunière prepared in brown butter, accompanied by potato pavé, spring ramps, snow peas and parsley oil.

Dessert was a beehive-shaped chocolate gâteau filled with vanilla bean crémeux and almond sponge, served with crème fraîche ice cream and honey produced on the White House grounds.
