President Donald Trump was caught in a rather awkward position after he appeared to repeatedly ignore questions on Taiwan during his visit to China.

He was asked by one of the reporters whether he spoke about Taiwan during his conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

However, he paid no attention to the question and seemed to completely ignore the same.

The pictures and videos that went viral from the incident on social media show one of the reporters asking Trump, “How were your talks, sir?" as he concluded his Temple of Heaven tour with Jinping.

During his photo-op with the Chinese president, it appeared that Trump tried to deviate from the questions surrounding his Taiwan talks with Jinping and said, “Great - a great place. Incredible. China is beautiful."

However, reporters continued to probe him more than once and asked, “Did you talk about Taiwan, Mr. President?" to which, he chose not to reply.

It is being alleged that Donald Trump ignored questions on Taiwan during his China visit.

This inevitably led to social media users lashing out at the president. Some netizens also alleged that he was cowering in front of Jinping.

One user wrote, “He will sell out Taiwan to China just like he is selling out Ukraine to Russia.”

Another user stated, “Seems like Trump got steamrolled in this meeting. He would not even answer a question on Taiwan. What happened behind those closed doors?”

An individual commented, “He is just a bully and gets flatter against a bigger bully. Simple.”

“He wouldn’t know what to say about Taiwan. You need a brain to engage in diplomacy,” one user wrote.

Another user took a dig at Trump’s $400 million ballroom makeover at the White House and wrote, “Omg, he must be unwell. Not one mention of his ballroom.”

One user chimed in, “The word Taiwan for Trump was the hottest pepper in his mouth.”

An individual took a jab at the president for allegedly falling asleep during one of his recent meetings.

The comment read, “What happened? Did he fall asleep?”

“Trump definitely got mogged by Xi,” wrote another.

Comparing Trump with Jinping, a social media user stated, “It’s understandable, Trump cannot match Xi’s aura.”

Another alleged that Trump might be afraid of the Chinese president, writing, “He is terrified of Xi Jinping. Privately, he probably went ahead and said, Go ahead and take it.”

Donald Trump appears to avoid questions on Taiwan during his China visit.

According to The Mirror US, Jinping had “warned” Trump that Washington’s handling of its equation with Taiwan could lead to rifts that could lead “the entire relationship in great jeopardy.”

According to a readout posted on X by Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, the Chinese President told Trump that “the Taiwan question is the most important issue in China-U.S. relations.”

Jinping’s alleged warning further stated, “If it is handled properly, the bilateral relationship will enjoy overall stability. Otherwise, the two countries will have clashes and even conflicts, putting the entire relationship in great jeopardy.”
