Taylor Swift Keeps Wedding Plans From Ed Kelce After Proposal Details Emerged

Taylor Swift is not taking any chances when it comes to keeping details about her and Travis Kelce's wedding details a secret. According to the Daily Mail, that means she's very careful about what her future father-in-law, Ed Kelce, knows.

Ed previously told the press details about the couple's engagement.

Now the singer is apparently handling much of the wedding planning herself, including calling guests herself instead of sending traditional invitations.

Swift is partly trying to prevent leaks because her and Travis' nuptials are fast becoming one of the most high-profile celebrity wedding in years.

So, with all the attention that's been given to her upcoming wedding, and knowing how Ed Kelce publicly discussed intimate moments from how his son proposed to her, Swift is now very cautious about sharing details within the extended family circle.

And because she's been so selective about who knows what, it may be causing some tension within the ranks.

A source told Daily Mail that Ed Kelce was "sort of like a loose cannon." They added, "Nobody knows what he’s going to say so it’s kind of a controversial situation.”

The insider also claimed Ed Kelce had “already gave out a lot of information about the engagement.”

Swift and Travis Kelce are both keeping quiet about any wedding planning, and if anything, they're tightening security around the details as their day draws closer.

However, Ed Kelce previously made headlines when he opened up about how his son proposed to "The Fate of Ophelia" singer.

In August last year, Ed Kelce spoke to a news outlet, and revealed that Travis had proposed, "maybe two weeks, not quite two weeks ago” before they shared the news publicly.

“He was going to put it off till this week,” Ed Kelce said. “I think she was getting maybe a little antsy.”

He also shared some background scoop about how the proposal went down at Travis Kelce’s home in Missouri before the couple went out for dinner.

“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’” Ed Kelce recalled. “They got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged after more than two years together, and quickly became one of the most closely watched couples in recent times.

Swift has always been able to control the narrative around her public image, and it seems that she's doing the same with her wedding planning which she is trying to keep quiet.

Apparently, the star is going out of her way to make sure that key facts are only being shared on a need-to-know basis, with her even going so far to call guests herself.

“When it comes to the date and location, she wants to avoid anything leaking ahead of time,” the source reportedly said.

Ed Kelce has only spoken warmly about the relationship between his son and Swift in interviews. He has shared that Travis and Taylor were “two young people very much in love.”

He also said he had “not seen his son happier.”
