Supermodel Karlie Kloss was recently spotted in Capri on vacation alongside Dreamworks founder David Geffen. While on a scenic stroll, the Karlie's Kookies founder showed off her long legs in a pinstripe shirt dress which she paired with a cloth belt, white gladiator sandals, cat-shaped sunglasses and a straw handbag.
The celebrity sighting occurred shortly after news broke that the Project Runway judge would be joining the Roblox metaverse. Kloss recently shared that she would be bringing a virtual runway to the game. The Fashion Klossette Designer Showcase includes five pop-up stores with the intention of promoting the application's virtual clothing.
Even though the partnership between Kloss and Roblox might seem unexpected to some, technology is actually a big part of her life and career. Kloss put down her Victoria's Secret angel wings in 2015 to pursue an individualized study at NYU's Gallatin School. While there, she tapped into her love of computer programming and later worked to make it accessible to girls all over the country. Her camp, Kode with Klossy, teaches free tech-focused lessons to teens to help give them confidence and prepare them for the digital age.
"Before my first coding class, the idea that I could build something with code seemed nearly impossible, but after only a couple of courses, I was working with my classmates to program a small drone," the mom-of-one explained in a statement on the website. "I realized that, just like art and fashion, code is about creativity, and that women who have these skills have the power to shape our future & often have. Now, more than ever, women need to have a seat at the table in shaping the technologies that are shaping our world."
Even though we might not all be interested in joining the metaverse or computer programming, we can pull a few fashion cues from the catwalk legend.
