Prince Harry Urged Putin to End the War in Ukraine and Was Called a 'Clown' by Russian Media
Prince Harry drew backlash after comments he made during a visit to Ukraine urging Putin to end the conflict and calling for stronger U.S. leadership. This led to the critics and the Russian media labeling him as a “clown” especially because of his statement towards Vladimir Putin.
The situation became more complicated given that Harry's remarks coincided with his father King Charles and Queen Camilla's official state visit to the United States.
Not only this but the Russian media soon mocked Harry as a “clown” for speaking on the war and for the “advice” to Putin. According to a report in People, the backlash came after his visit to Kyiv where he graced a security conference and also met wounded soldiers and veterans.
The Duke of Sussex called on Putin to bring the war to an end and also told him that war “offers no winner.”
Russian TV Presenter Blasts Harry

Among Harry's critics was Russian state television host Vladimir Solovyov, who mocked the duke on air.
Many critics took a jibe at Harry and brought back the Nazi uniform controversy in particular which might still continue to haunt him. Solovyov mocked the controversial royal for giving his opinion on the war in Ukraine. He further questioned his authority and accused him of allegedly siding with the “Nazi” allies.
Solovyov said, "What does this have to do with you? Who are you? You don't deserve any respect." He also took a dig at the “biggest mistake” of Harry’s life which was his 2005 Nazi uniform scandal.
At the time, Clarence House confirmed that Harry had apologized for the costume choice.
Prince Harry Was Called a Clown by a Ukrainian Commentator
Prince Harry gets a massive criticism for commenting on the Russia-Ukraine war.
Hais recent comments on the Russia-Ukraine war continue to draw criticism. During another televised segment, a Ukrainian commentator also lashed out at Harry for the same.
He stated that the Spare author’s statement did more harm than good and has further complicated the situation. The commentator blasted Harry and asked, “Why did you come?” implying that his comments were ill-timed and might have undesirable consequences.
The commentator also mocked Prince Harry as a “clown.” Beyond his message to Putin, Harry also directed comments at President Trump.
The Duke of Sussex said that it was a “moment for American leadership” calling the nation to honor its global commitments and have a stronger part in the ongoing conflict.
Trump responded to Harry's remarks with apparent sarcasm. According to the UK Express, after getting to know about the Duke’s statement, the President said, “Prince Harry? How’s he doing? How’s his wife? Please give her my regards. I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the U.K., that’s for sure. I think I’m speaking for the U.K. more than Prince Harry, but I appreciate his advice.”
