‘Poorly Rehearsed’: Aubrey O’Day Calls WHCA Trump Assassination Attempt Fake and Staged
The shooting incident during the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner on Saturday, April 25, has created shockwaves across the nation.
However, singer Aubrey O'Day claimed on social media that the shooting fiasco appeared staged, a claim that circulated widely online following the incident at the Washington Hilton hotel.

On Saturday, April 25, shots were fired at the Washington Hilton hotel during the WHCA dinner.
President Donald Trump, Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt were escorted out without injury. A Secret Service agent, however, sustained injuries.
During a press conference after the incident, Trump described the venue as not a "particularly secure building" and used the occasion to reiterate his support for a new White House ballroom, saying it would be more secure and "drone proof."
He said, "They wanted the ballroom for 150 years for lots of different reasons, but today is a little bit different because today we need levels of security that probably has never seen before."
Authorities later confirmed that the shooter was identified as Cole Tomas Allen, 31.
Aubrey O'Day shares her view on the WHCA shooting incident, in a post on X.
O'Day reposted a clip of Trump's remarks, writing, "I have to say tonight's 'assassination attempt' was poorly rehearsed. They have truly cut the budget down on these productions."
O'Day and some social media users also pointed to a comment made by Leavitt during a Fox News interview before the dinner in which she said, "It'll be funny, it'll be entertaining, there will be some shots fired tonight in the room, so everyone should tune in."
Some users cited that remark as a reason for their suspicion, though Leavitt's comment was widely understood as a reference to comedic exchanges at the event.
‘This Level of Corruption Requires Stupidity’
Some social media users echoed O'Day's skepticism. One user wrote, “Another staged theatrical spectacle. I was wondering why it was listed on the television schedule. It was as if it was known a theatrical event would unfold.”
Another user commented, “Yep. This was clearly a staged event. They aren't even good at staging s*** lmao.”
An individual stated, “So Trump ‘THE KING’ needs to stage a shooting so he can build a ballroom.”
One user posted an image of Trump along with the words, “War Going So Badly Trump Considering Faking His Own Assassination Again.”
“This is Mr. Crabs level nonsense. I'm sorry, but this Level Of Corruption Requires Stupidity,” wrote one user.
Another user opined, “At this point, I don't even know who the bigger fool is, Trump for coming up with such cringe theatrics? OR us, Americans who continue to do nothing as our taxes are robbed for such useless projects. What more are we willing to take before we snap?”
