A horrific crime unfolded in southern Wisconsin when a mother killed her teenage daughter. Far from a heated dispute, the mother claimed her twisted "maternal instinct" was to shield her child from Elon Musk.

Police revealed the mother chillingly called authorities the previous night, admitting to the murder. She disturbingly asked if news channels were covering her story.

Wisconsin Mother Murders Daughter to Save Her From Elon Musk

According to WMTV 15 reports, Tyiece Oninski, a Town of Turtle resident, was accused of murdering her 14-year-old daughter, Kuren Rein. The complaint alleged she killed the teen to "protect" her from Elon Musk.

Oninski reportedly spoke with officers about Rein's death, having called the Rock County Communications Center's non-emergency line. The call occurred on March 20, 2026.

During the 13-minute call, Oninski confessed to stabbing her daughter to death the previous night before attempting suicide. She stated she "murdered [her daughter] to protect her from somebody else, period." When asked if the teen needed an ambulance, she replied, "She's dead, honey. She needs a hearse."

She requested an ambulance for herself, saying, "I attempted to kill myself afterwards but…didn't work." Officers found her with a deep neck cut and stab wounds on her cheek and wrists.

They also found the corpse of Kuren Rein, which had multiple stab wounds and a knife and a sheath from which she had been murdered. They found a partial bare footprint inside the home and later realized that it was Oninski’s left foot. The medical experts in the hospital tested her positive for benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and THC in her blood.

The report also mentioned that the Wisconsin mother had allegedly “enthusiastically” asked a deputy if her name was all over the news. However, she was “disappointed” to find out that her crime went unnoticed.

Victim’s Brother Recovers From the Unimaginable Loss

The 14-year-old victim's unnamed brother launched a fundraiser to cover funeral costs, sharing a heartfelt note about the "devastating loss" of his sister "taken far too soon."

He described her murder as a "devastating and unthinkable" act at their mother's hands, urging community support. "No one should have to face something like this, especially at such a young age," he wrote, seeking to ease their burden.

"She was loved deeply and will be missed beyond measure. Her life mattered, and she deserves to be honored with dignity and care," the fundraiser stated. Tyiece Oninski faces $1 million bond and a court date on April 14, 2026.
