NFL star Travis Kelce reflected on how his life has taken a fun turn lately while speaking with his brother Jason Kelce on their podcast.
The Kansas City Chiefs athlete, once known for his strict diet and picky eating habits, revealed exploring new dishes since being in a relationship with Taylor Swift.
According to Travis, the pop star has encouraged him to step out of his comfort zone and try out different kinds of food and be adventurous.
However, while the shift has added excitement to his formerly limited palate, it has also reportedly led to noticeable weight gain and even disrupted his disciplined athletic lifestyle.
Travis Kelce Opens up on Diet Change

Speaking on the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason and his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, the NFL player shed light on how his diet changed since meeting Swift.
During the conversation, Jason said, "We won't use this in the episode, but I feel like Taylor's definitely expanded...”
He was cut off mid-sentence by his wife, Kylie, who said, "He's more adventurous with food.”
Following this, Travis said, "Yeah, I'm more of a man when I'm around her [Swift] and eat foods I haven't tried before!”
In the podcast, the athlete also revealed that Swift’s homemade sourdough bread has now become a regular part of his diet.
Travis also recalled breaking an antique chair, stating, “I broke Taylor's chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough.”
The athlete, during an October 2025 episode of the podcast, had stated that he now consumes extra calories.
“It has gone up a level since Taylor has come into the picture because she loves to bake sourdough, sourdough pie, sourdough cookies. I mean, it goes on and on,” Travis said.
'His Performance Output Matched His Diet'
While the NFL star is currently gaining weight, Travis once followed a strict diet to stay in shape. According to reports, he consumed around 4,000 calories a day to maintain his 260-pound frame.
Kumar Ferguson, Travis' childhood-friend-turned-personal-chef, told Kansas City Magazine that he prepared three meals daily for the player, including oatmeal with fresh fruits for breakfast and seafood Alfredo for dinner.
During an interview with Starland News, Ferguson said the diet primarily consists of steaks, chops and chicken.
Ferguson said that the diet plan impressed Travis' nutritionist as well.
“She was super impressed how Travis looked, his body metrics. His performance output matched his diet; that’s something that labs want to see,” Ferguson told the outlet.
However, recent changes in Travis' eating habits, influenced by Swift, have raised concerns.
The added calories and weight gain could now impact his fitness levels and performance on the field.
