Why Was Melania Missing? Don Jr.'s Wedding Weekend Fuels New Trump Family Speculation
Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson exchanged vows during their intimate Bahamas wedding celebration, but instead of discussing the newlyweds, the focus was on one person who wasn't there. And that’s none other than Melania Trump.
The wedding weekend renewed discussions as insiders claimed Melania’s decision to stay away may have had less to do with timing and more to do with ong-rumored family tensions, RadarOnline reported. According to sources, there may be a complicated family dynamic behind the scenes.

"Melania did not want to spend a full weekend with Donald's adult children from previous marriages," an insider claimed. "That tension has existed for years, even if nobody says it publicly." The claims have renewed speculation surrounding Melania’s relationship with President Donald Trump's older children, including Don Jr., Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump and Tiffany Trump.
Sources claim that despite years as one big public family unit, Melania has remained reportedly "emotionally distant" from Trump's older children during much of her marriage. Then came another detail that only added more fuel to the rumor fire. Melania and Donald’s son, Barron Trump, reportedly skipped the festivities too. "Barron grew up in a completely different world from Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany," another source claimed. "There's emotional distance there, and everyone in the family knows it."

Before Anderson, Trump Jr. was in a relationship with Kimberly Guilfoyle. The duo broke-off their engagement in December 2024.
Meanwhile, Donald publicly insisted there was no hidden drama behind his own absence. Instead, he pointed toward presidential duties and international issues.
The President highlight his feeling on being absent and said, "While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so."
