Mark Cuban Laughs off Trump's Cheeky 'Big Mistake' Jibe Over Past Kamala Harris Support

President Donald Trump welcomed billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban at a White House healthcare event on Monday, May 18.

Despite his previous endorsement of former Vice President Kamala Harris during the election campaign, Cuban appeared at Trump's event in order to promote TrumpRx.

Meanwhile, at the gathering, a reporter pointed out Cuban’s past support for Harris and asked Trump about it.

In response, the president didn't seem to mince his words, as he said that Cuban had “made a mistake” by supporting Harris.

Cuban, however, appeared to take the jab sportingly.

Cuban, widely known for appearing on the TV show Shark Tank and previously endorsing Harris, raised quite a few eyebrows after appearing alongside Trump at the event.

Watching him smile and attend Trump's healthcare event while promoting the discount prescription drug platform TrumpRx, reporters raised questions regarding his stance.

As Cuban, who co-founded the Cost Plus Drug Company, stood alongside Trump during the event focused on lowering medicine costs for Americans, one reporter noted, “Mr. President, it's pretty remarkable seeing you and Mark Cuban up there.”

The reporter went on, “The fact that he endorsed Kamala Harris back in 2024 election…,” while Trump interrupted him.

“Well, he made a mistake,” Trump joking said. “It was a big mistake,” Trump added, as Cuban laughed.

This exchange quickly sparked reactions online.

One X user wrote, “Even Cuban knows endorsing Kamala was a massive mistake. Now he’s on the right side helping lower drug prices for Americans.”

Another user joked, "You know what they say, ‘if you can't beat them, join them!’".

"Mark Cuban is a businessman. Of course, he's going to want to be on the winning side every time," stated one user.

An individual commented, "This goes to show that Mark Cuban was just in for the money. After so much sh*t he talked about Trump, look him here smiling like a middle school girl.”

Although things seemed quite smooth between Cuban and Trump at the event, the former had previously joined forces with Harris in 2024.

At the time, he told MS NOW that he joined Harris because “she wants to do the right thing. She wants to help the economy. She wants to help the middle class.”

However, he did not stop there. Cuban went on to slam Trump during the interview, saying, “Donald is so impetuous, so impulsive in everything he says… He talks a good game, but it doesn’t mean he follows through or gets the job done.”

Moreover, during the 2016 election cycle, Cuban took a jibe at Trump while speaking with Extra. He said, “It's rare that you see someone get stupider before your eyes, but he's really working at it.”

However, during Monday's event, Cuban backed the president's initiative, saying, “I think other than you, I've been the biggest proponent of TrumpRx.”
