Macaulay Culkin's Fiancée Brenda Song Slams Alaska Airlines Over ‘Unacceptable’ First-Class Seat Mix-Up
Macaulay Culkin's fiancée, Brenda Song, has spoken out about a frustrating travel experience involving Alaska Airlines. The 37-year-old actress took to social media on March 21 and slammed the airlines in her Instagram story, claiming they gave away her pre-booked first-class ticket on the day of the flight without prior notice.
Song said that because of the last-minute seat change, she and Culkin were separated from their two young sons, Dakota, 4, and Carson, 3, during the flight. "I didn't know when you book your first class tickets 6 months in advance for your family… @alaskaair can just give away your seats the morning of [the flight] with no warning splitting up you and your 3 and 4 year old kids," Song wrote in a post that she shared as part of her Instagram story.
"We will never fly @alaskaair again and neither should you," she declared, tagging Culkin. The 45-year-old Home Alone star backed his fiancée by reposting her message on his Instagram story. "...no fury like a Brenda scorned..." Culkin quipped.
Alaska Airlines Spokesperson Responds to Song's Complaint
Meanwhile, responding to Song's criticism, a representative for Alaska Airlines said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the experience they had was "unacceptable and not reflective of the care we strive to deliver." The representative also said that they have reached out to the family to resolve the issue and acknowledged that travel can be especially stressful when flying with young children.
"We are deeply sorry for adding friction to the experience," the spokesperson said, adding that the airline values passengers' trust and remains committed to providing a safe, reliable, and caring service.

Social Media Reacts to Culkin and Song's Flight Experience
Song's post sparked a debate online, with mixed reactions from netizens to the The Suite Life of Zack & Cody alum's rant. Several social media users related to the actress and supported her reaction. "Brenda has a reason to be upset; these are the tickets she paid for, and most of all, she didn't want to be apart from her kids," one social media user wrote on X.
"Apologies after the fact from Alaska Air means [expletive]. What they did was cruel and unusual punishment for those people. Seriously? They purchased them six months in advance and then just ripped [them] away?" commented a second user.
"This is unacceptable! They have 2 little boys and having to sit separately is ridiculous! They bought these tickets a while back and it was inexcusable for what the airline did! I don't like sitting separate from my husband and family either, but this is ridiculous!!" stated another.
However, several others were critical of Brenda's complaint. "It's absolutely astounding to me that celebrities think we give [expletive] about their everyday problems. Whether she's right to be unhappy or not, it's not worth broadcasting when you live a life of luxury," said one X user. "Okay two adults, two kids. Poor them that one of them has to sit in 'regular' class. I mean it does stink but hardly a major problem," a user mentioned. Another wrote, "OMG. How did they survive!"
Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song got engaged in 2022 after dating for five years. The couple welcomed their son, Dakota, in April 2021, and their second son, Carson, in December 2022.
