Charles visited the U.S. for the first time after becoming the King.

Freeman claimed that on one instance, Trump turned towards the monarch and told him, “It's so incredible, it's what you do so well." However, despite the equation between the two men seem to be on a positive forefront, according to a former royal editor, Charles seems to be “privately dreading” the meeting with the President.

Duncan Larcombe claimed that the King’s wife, Queen Camilla will be a "calming influence" on him during this entire trip which is extremely important to determine the ties between the U.S. and UK.

The former royal editor said, “This is one of, if not the biggest tests of King Charles since he became monarch, because a historically special relationship is in a perilous situation. Donald Trump is openly criticizing the Prime Minister, which is something that Charles hasn't had to cope with before."

Explaining the pressure on the King, Larcombe added, “Donald Trump is his own force and we know how much the royal connection means to him, so the pressure's on Charles to make this a success, definitely."

Talking about the digs from Donald Trump to the UK and its Prime Minister, the President had called the United Kingdom’s stance on the Iran war to be “terrible” and took a sharp jibe at Keir Starmer, saying that he was “no Winston Churchill.”
