Lauren Sánchez Bezos swapped sequins for a fire suit just a few days ahead of one of fashion’s biggest nights. She has trained with New York City Fire Department firefighters earlier this week in a partnership benefiting the Leary Firefighters Foundation, and received appreciation for being one of the 'bravest' in the city.
The Met Gala is held annually to raise funds for the Anna Wintour Costume Center. .This year’s theme is titled ‘Costume Art.’ Jeff Bezos and Sanchez married on June 27, 2025, and they also recently attended a White House state dinner honoring Britain's King Charles and Queen Camilla. According to Variety, the duo, who are debuting as honorary co-chairs and lead financial sponsors of the Met Gala, hosted a pre-Met Gala celebration on May 2.
