Laura Loomer Defends Trump’s Controversial Post About Robert Mueller — Netizens Call Her a ‘Hypocrite’

MAGA loyalist Laura Loomer faced the ire of netizens as she expressed her support to President Donald Trump over the latter’s controversial post following the death of former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Robert Mueller.

A social media user cited an old X post of Loomer herself to call her out. The post in question was about the assassination of right-wing political activist Charlie Kirk in September 2025.

On March 21, Trump took to his Truth Social account to share his views on Mueller, who passed away at the age of 81 a day prior. “Robert Mueller just died. Good, I’m glad he’s dead,” the president said, adding, “He can no longer hurt innocent people!”

Trump’s comments not only sparked backlash on social media, but also led to criticism from his niece Mary Trump and the Democrats. Loomer, however, came to the president’s rescue and supported his intent. She claimed that Trump had said something that has been on everyone’s mind.

Referring to Trump’s post, Loomer said, “He's right. We shouldn't be sad when bad people die.” Soon after, a critic brought to light an old X post of Loomer that she had shared days after Kirk’s death.

The post read, “The videos of sick people celebrating and gloating over Charlie's death make me physically ill. It's enough to make you not want to leave your house when you see how normalized this hatred on the left is.”

Netizens were quick to draw comparisons between Loomer’s reactions after the deaths of Kirk and Mueller. Some opined that the MAGA activist was a “hypocrite” as they felt that she treated the two deaths differently. One user wrote, “No, Laura, not 'what everyone is thinking,' but what every diseased brain is thinking.” Another stated, “Hypocrisy at its finest.”

MAGA supporters also shared their opinions, as they defended both Loomer and Trump. A user wrote, “Mueller died of old age. Kirk was murdered. They aren't the same.” Another commented, “Charlie Kirk wasn't a bad person, so she is not contradicting herself.”

This, however, was not the first time that Loomer was involved in such a controversy.

In February, Loomer was engaged in a feud with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene. The former Trump ally called out the MAGA activist, claiming that she had undergone “plastic surgery and weight loss to achieve her Fox News look.”

Following this, Loomer harshly responded to Greene and criticized the latter for attacking her personal traits like looks and weight. She remarked, “We can’t all be 10s with perfect bodies, but at least I’m not a traitor.”
