Kristi Noem (54) infamously had her purse stolen during last year’s Easter Sunday dinner. This does not appear to be the reason she is missing the 2026 White House Egg Roll. Instead, the ICE Barbie is under scrutiny due to a series of scandals and controversies.

While she was still dealing with her sudden ouster from the DHS Secretary role by Donald Trump (79), her husband Bryan Noem (56)’s “cross-dressing” scandal also made headlines, which made matters worse for her. According to The List, not only was Bryan’s fetish allegedly exposed for wearing fake busts and talking to women online, but he might have also revealed details of his wife’s alleged affair with her former staff member, Corey Lewandowski.

Kristi Noem's husband Bryan Noem was recently revealed to be a cross-dresser

It is not a surprise that the Noem clan is avoiding any public appearances at the moment, given the public embarrassment that they have been subjected to. While it still seemed unlikely that the former DHS Secretary would skip the White House event, her absence did command attention, and it seems that she might also skip other recent events in the professional sphere.

The Special Envoy for the Shield of Americas has also gone quiet on social media, which has further sparked questions about her Easter plans. However, Noem and her husband did receive a sarcastic Easter greeting from host Andy Cohen. Cohen took to Threads to “wish” Bryan Noem on the occasion of Easter, where he wrote, “Wishing all my tig-bitted married MAGA bro's a Happy Easter.”

Now that the Noems are surrounded by mockery and scandals, it was not a surprise to see the ICE Barbie giving the event a miss. Not only Kristi Noem but many other key MAGA allies were absent from the event. However, there were some “predictable” moments from the event too, which might not have come as a surprise to any of the onlookers. Reportedly, Donald Trump (79) was again “oblivious” to his wife, Melania Trump (55), standing beside him when he mentioned her, and Tiffany Trump (32) and Eric Trump (42) graced the occasion with their families, out of the President’s children.

After Kristi Noem, Pam Bondi was fired by Donald Trump as the Attorney General.

Talking about the MAGA loyalists who ended up not attending the event, apart from Kristi Noem, recently fired Attorney General Pam Bondi also chose to give the event a miss. Ivanka Trump (44) and her husband, Jared Kushner (45), were also seen giving the 2026 White House Egg Roll a miss. This might have again sparked the rumored feud between her and stepmother Melania.

Donald Trump Jr (48) and his fiancée Bettina Anderson (39) did not attend the event either. The President’s youngest son, Barron (20), was also absent, which may not be surprising given speculation about his mother’s control over his appearances.

It seems that despite the with things working against her, Kristi Noem did not miss much, since the only “important” MAGA personalities included Stephen Miller and his wife, Katie Miller. If the bland guest list was not enough, things were more awkward because the festivities were often interrupted by questions about Trump’s aggressive attack on Iran.
