New Allegations Pull Kristi Noem’s Husband Into Growing Personal Scandal.
Kristi Noem Scandal Deepens as New Claims Surface About Husband’s Secret Messages
The controversy around former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has taken another turn, this time putting her husband in the spotlight. While Noem has already been dealing with ongoing rumors about her personal life and a tense moment in front of lawmakers, new claims about Bryon Noem’s online activity are adding to the scandal.
According to fresh reports, messages and audio involving Noem and an online dominatrix, Shy Sotomayor, also known as Raelynn Riley, have surfaced, raising questions. This follows several weeks of controversy for the Noem family. Back in March, Kristi was put on the spot during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing and asked directly about alleged ties to Corey Lewandowski. She did not provide a direct answer, and notably, Bryon was reportedly right there watching it unfold.

Not long after that, Donald Trump removed her, putting even more attention on the situation. But before things could cool down, a new set of allegations emerged. Reports allege that while Kristi was traveling, Bryon was spending significant sums on online interactions with women. More recently, messages attributed to him have revealed additional details. It claims that he even motivated Sotomayor to criticize his wife and also talked about leaving his marriage.
At one point, he reportedly told her: "I can see us leaving our spouses for each other." The messages also suggest he shared personal thoughts and desires during these exchanges. According to Sotomayor, their connection started to form back in 2016, when Bryon initially reached out to her via X. And from there, the conversations later moved to another platform, where she says he paid for interactions.
Describing their dynamic, she said: "I don't embrace the airhead, ditzy personality that a lot of bimbos do. I expect to be worshipped, not degraded." Their contact reportedly stopped in 2020 after Kristi became governor of South Dakota, but resumed in October 2025.
During that later period, Bryon allegedly became more forthcoming, sharing deeply personal thoughts and aspirations, including telling her: "I want to be a woman so bad." According to Sotomayor, the communication became frequent, with calls happening multiple times a week and with significant sums reportedly spent.

But the tone of the exchanges changed over time. At one point, Bryon reportedly began speaking more positively about his wife, telling Sotomayor: "She's a good person." Despite that shift, their communication is said to have continued during a period of political scrutiny, including her Senate hearing and eventual dismissal.
The interaction reportedly came to an end on March 22, when Sotomayor decided to cut off contact. Looking back on the situation, she said: "I've had moments when I'm wondering how did this become my life. I just never thought I would be the mistress to ICE." With political pressure, personal rumors, and now these newly surfaced claims all colliding, the situation around the Noem family continues to draw attention.
