Kristi Noem Faces Flak for Bringing Alleged Lover Corey Lewandowski to Guyana — ‘Absolute Disgrace’

It appears that former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem can’t catch a break from public scrutiny as of late. Rumors of her having a relationship with Corey Lewandowski have resurfaced once again as netizens spotted the duo sitting beside each other.

Noem and Lewandowski were pictured together during a meeting in Guyana, which sparked speculations of their alleged affair once again. Social media users were quick to scrutinize the relationship shared by the duo.

Just a day after being targeted in a criminal probe, Noem was joined by Lewandowski during one of her first meetings in Guyana. In photos released by the X handle of the U.S. Embassy in Guyana, she was seen shaking hands with Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana, and talking with Guyanese government officials.

However, netizens were surprised when one of the four images posted by the account featured Lewandowski. He was wearing a dark suit and salmon tie, as he sat beside Noem during the meeting. Soon, a number of people took to social media to express their views regarding the matter.

A user commented, “How you can bring Lewandowski with you on this trip and think that the optics would be horrible? You're not a fit for the job.” Another user wrote, “Absolute disgrace she and her bf have no place in this administration!” A third asked, “Why is Corey Lewandowski there?”

One individual stated, “How cute. Kristi Noem got to keep her "Special" Government Employee.” One user asked, “I do not understand why Corey Lewandowski is there. Can someone please explain this?” A user wrote, “Not a good look for Kristi to continually bring her side piece! SMH!!!”

CBS journalist Olivia Gazis revealed that U.S. and State officials have informed the media outlet that Lewandowski and Noem were not part of a State Department trip. The officials added that Noem had departed for Guyana while she was still the Homeland Security secretary.

Furthermore, the officials said that Lewandowski was not employed by the State Department and added that it will remain so in the future.

Sources have termed Noem and Lewandowski’s alleged fling “the worst-kept secret in DC,” according to The Daily Beast.

In the book Undue Process: The Inside Story of Trump’s Mass Deportation Program written by Julia Ainsley, a segment was featured that discussed this much-talked-about rumor. A Customs and Border Protection official, who dealt with them regularly, stated, “They don’t hide it.”

Though both of them have denied rumors of being romantically involved, speculations gained traction when a report claimed that Lewandowski entered a jet’s cockpit to look for Noem’s blanket.

As per a report by The Daily Mail, Noem was looking for her bag and the blanket was a cover-up story. An insider claimed it was not about the blanket but about the contents of the bag. It reportedly could have been embarrassing if word got out about the contents of the bag.
