Knicks Players Denied Entry at Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's 'Intentionally Intimate' Met Gala Afterparty
New York Knicks players might have won their Game 1 playoffs, but they reportedly could not enter a certain after-party in the city.
According to TMZ, after their Game 1 victory, some Knicks players wanted to celebrate in style, hoping to maintain the high spirits going off the court.
However, despite their star status and recent success, the players were stopped at the door and denied entry at Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter's ultra-exclusive Monday night bash.
Why Were the New York Knicks Players Denied Entry?
Sabrina Carpenter enters a Met Gala after-party hosted by herself and Madonna.
TMZ reported that Madonna and Carpenter hosted a high-profile Met Gala afterparty at the Zero Bond club in New York City on Monday, May 4.
Since the party took place shortly after the Knicks secured a Game 1 playoff win, several Knicks players tried attending the party to celebrate their win.
The event was held on the club’s main fifth floor and had a “strict guest list” limited to around 200 people.
However, according to reports, the venue could actually hold nearly twice that number, which subtly revealed that the smaller list was created deliberately to keep the party “intentionally intimate.”
Therefore, it wasn't just the Knicks players who were denied entry. Reports suggest that “plenty of known faces got turned away” as well.
Meanwhile, although the identities of the athletes who were denied entry were not revealed, names of many well-known celebrities who attended the party were noted.
The ones who were present at the party include Katy Perry, Margot Robbie, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Serena Williams, Baz Luhrmann, Adrien Brody, Georgina Chapman, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez Bezos.
