Lara Trump's polka-dotted dress draws social media reaction.

In the pictures and videos that have been going viral, Lara was seen accompanying the U.S. delegation for a meeting with the Chinese President Xi Jinping to facilitate conversations on U.S.-China relations, trade and the ongoing global conflict.

She opted for an Alessandra Rich navy blue polka-dot midi dress with Saint Laurent eyewear and Christian Louboutin pumps for the journey to Beijing.

However, the internet soon started comparing her sartorial choices to bedsheets and curtains, especially because of the polka-dotted pattern in both of the dresses.

One X user shared Lara's pictures alongside curtains and bedsheets of similar pattern.

An individual stated, “Who wore it better? Lara Trump in China or the bedding from her hotel room?” and added in another post, “For some reason, Lara Trump keeps wearing polka dots in China. Maybe she is remembering her kitchen curtains or the measles outbreak caused by RFK Jr."

“Seriously, what is that ridiculous woman doing there?” commented one user. Another user asked, “Why is she even walking with them?”

One user joked that the bedding in Lara’s hotel room looked better than her clothing.

“Why is she the new Melania?” wondered another.

The former Republican National Committee co-chair had earlier shared a selfie on her social media handle before boarding Air Force One to leave for China, which featured her husband Eric, White House Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior staff members Natalie Harp and Walt Nauta.

However, contrary to her polka-dotted dresses, Lara's sartorial choice for the opulent Beijing state dinner on Thursday, May 14, stood out positively because of its ode to Chinese culture.

She wore a traditional Chinese ensemble by Sau Lee Gina, which she paired with a Dior white bag.

The outfit had a lovely light brown base and was adorned with daisy patterns with shades of white and cream. The outfit also had a Mandarin-style collar and short sleeves.

Contrary to the earlier outfits, which were subjected to mockery, this one received a thumbs-up from social media users.

One X user wrote, “That gold outfit totally stands out.” Another added, “Finally, someone dressing appropriately for the occasion.”
