Kendra Duggar Opens Up About Losing Custody, Says Bringing Kids Home Is Her Top Goal

Kendra Duggar, Joseph Duggar’s wife, told him during an emotional jail call that their four children are not with her. She confessed that, as he faces child molestation charges, she is having difficulties trying to live her life.

It became even more difficult when she broke down in tears, stating that her life had been all the more difficult. She made it clear to her husband that, for her, her current priority is her children and she will fight for them.

According to reports from PEOPLE, they obtained an audio of a jail phone call between Kendra Duggar and Joseph Duggar. She told him, “I think Friday has probably been my hardest day, but that's crazy to say because Wednesday was crazy hard.”

She was referring to the day she was arrested and the other, when her husband confessed to his crimes and was put in cuffs. She continued expressing her frustration, as her children are taken away from her, whom she had poured her life into.

The TLC star alum interrupted her and said that the children should be her “purpose right now.” She said that she did not have their children with them during their “parents’ legal battles.” Kendra Duggar added, “From what I hear they are doing good.”

The report mentioned another call between the couple, during which she made it clear to her husband, saying, “I'm fighting for the kids and they're my number one priority right now.” He supported her decision and answered that he was “100% behind” her, remarking that she “should be fighting for them the most.”

Before hanging up the call, she told her husband, “I just want you to know, through all of this, whatever happens, that's who's coming first.” She added that they will fight through this to the end, and see “where the rest of it leads us.”

In a separate report from TMZ (via E! News), they shared another phone call between the couple. During the call, Kendra Duggar did not sugarcoat the family's opinion after his arrest. She told him the family members are disappointed by his actions, but “just know that everybody loves you.”

Joseph Duggar understood the far-reaching consequences of his action and understood why his family was disappointed in him. However, he clarified that he is not upset with the decision taken by his family members.

The court documents obtained by the outlet stated that he was released on bond following his hearing. Meanwhile, Kendra Duggar, who is charged with child endangerment and false imprisonment charges, is leaning on her faith. She believed that the lord would get them through this phase, and together they would take one day at a time.
