Karoline Leavitt Delivers Stark 7-Word Response When Pressed on Trump's Message To Young Voters Amid Iran War
As the U.S.-Israel war against Iran continues to make headlines every hour, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked what President Donald Trump's message would be to young American voters who were looking forward to a time of peace and lower prices. Leavitt answered with an unexpected seven-word response.
According to The Mirror U.S., when asked about Trump's message to his young voter base who are sceptical or critical of war, Leavitt said the president was doing it for their sake. "President Trump is doing this for you," she said.
She further added, "He is doing it for young people... So that we are no longer threatened by a rogue terrorist regime in the Middle East that seeks to kill the brave men and women who serve in our country."

Casualties of the U.S.-Iran War
On February 28, Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu launched a joint strike against Iran, killing the country's then Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. One of the justifications of this attack — that has plunged the Middle East into war — cited by White House officials is the unbacked claims about Iran "killing and maiming American citizens."
Iran responded to the joint strikes by attacking Israel and U.S. military bases in the Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman.
According to AP News, the death toll from the war has surpassed 1,500 in Iran, 1,100 in Lebanon, with around 20 in Israel and 13 U.S. military personnel. Millions have been displaced across Iran and Lebanon. Additionally, at least 200 American troops have been wounded, according to the U.S. military, as reported by The Guardian. Civilians have also been killed on land and at sea in the Gulf region.

Oil and Gas Prices Soar as Iran Blocks Strait of Hormuz
Iran also blocked the Strait of Hormuz, through which nearly 20 percent of the world's oil and about one-fifth of the global liquefied natural gas is shipped, making it one of the most crucial maritime corridors. As a result, gas and oil supplies have been disrupted, causing prices to skyrocket in the U.S. and the world.
Reports claim that oil prices have increased more than 40 percent compared to before the U.S.-Israel war against Iran. Oil prices saw a fall on Wednesday, March 25, following reports about Trump's envoys sending a 15-point peace plan to Tehran via Pakistan. However, Iran rejected the U.S.'s 15-point ceasefire plan, causing oil prices to rise again.
Iran Denies Trump's Peace Talk Claims
Meanwhile, Trump said that Washington and Tehran engaged in "very good and productive" talks to end the war, but Iran denied his claims. According to Al Jazeera, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied such talks with the U.S., stating in an interview on Wednesday, March 25, that Tehran was not engaged in direct talks with Washington and has "no intention of negotiating for now."
Leavitt refused to share information about any ongoing negotiation with Iran. She added that there are "elements of truth" in a 15-point plan, but also said that some reports were "not entirely factual."
"I am not going to negotiate on behalf of the president here at the podium," Leavitt said. "What I will tell you is these talks are ongoing," she added. As per Al Jazeera, Leavitt also added that Tehran would be "hit harder" than ever before if Iran did not accept military defeat.
