'Jesus Loves You': Joseph Duggar Got Support from a Relative Amid Child Molestation Case
Joseph Duggar received a supportive email from a family member while he was in custody after being accused of child molestation.
According to a new report by PEOPLE, the 19 Kids and Counting star received the email from his brother-in-law, Austin Forsyth, while he was in custody at the Washington County Detention facility in Arkansas.

Forsyth, 32, who is the husband of Duggar's elder sister Joy-Anna, reportedly sent a letter to Duggar via email. "I want you to know that I love you! Jesus loves you, and continues to draw you closer to Him," he wrote.
"I don't want to discuss your issues over these communications. You need to only be talking to your attorney," Austin further added, before reminding 31-year-old Joseph that "G-d works despite the sin of man for his good."
According to the news outlet, Forsyth then told Duggar that he was "praising G-d" that he and his wife "started getting closer to [Joseph and Kendra] in the last year and a half." He said that G-d "knew that Kendra was going to need help." He reassured Duggar that he and his wife, Joy-Anna, are helping Duggar's wife, Kendra, and will continue to do so.

Joseph Duggar Responds to Brother-in-Law Austin Forsyth's Email
According to PEOPLE, Austin, who was arrested in March, responded to his brother-in-law Forsyth's supportive letter the next day.
The accused said that he was very grateful to all the people who had been helping him. He reportedly shared that "it means the world" to have family members like Forsyth who are standing by him. Duggar then ended the letter by saying, "love y'all so much!"
Joseph Duggar Accused of Child Molestation
Duggar was arrested in Arkansas on March 18, 2026 on two counts of lewd and lascivious behavior after being accused of s--ally assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Florida.
According to AP News, the reality TV star was arrested after police officers interviewed a 14-year-old girl who said that Duggar had allegedly molested her many times during a family trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, when she was nine years old. The news site reported that, according to an arrest affidavit, the girl's father told the police that Duggar had admitted to the abuse when he confronted him.
Since his arrest, Duggar's elder sisters, Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, and Joy-Anna have released public statements condemning his actions and offering sympathy to the victim and their family. On March 25, Joy-Anna spoke about the accusations against her brother on Instagram Story. The very same day, her husband sent his email to Joseph.

"My heart is with the victim, and I am grieved by the pain and harm caused. I have been a wreck this week and am taking time to process," she said, according to PEOPLE. "I have a few pre-filmed commitments that I have to post, but I will be taking some much-needed time with my family. Thank you for your prayers."
After posting a $600,000 bond at a March 31 court hearing in Florida, Joseph returned home to his wife, Kendra, in Arkansas. He is scheduled to return in May for his arraignment.
