Jenny McCarthy On Prayers Detoxing Her Anxiety
Jenny McCarthy on praying doing wonders to their lives.
In the most recent episode of the Heal Squad podcast, Jenny McCarthy appeared as a guest. Maria Menounos, the host of the show, was discussing techniques that would help the nervous system relax, and asked her guest if something else worked for her as well.
McCarthy instantly replied, “Prayer,” and added that she had such an anxiety-filled week, and every time, and shared that she prefers to avoid people. Instead, she will find a quiet room to herself and pray, adding, “I will drop to my knees, and I will pray.” She continued that she would punt on her Christian playlist, calling it the “best medicine” that one could have.
McCarthy remarked, “It's true, Christian. I mean, if you guys are depressed…if you have nowhere to turn, I would invite anybody. You know, to turn towards faith. It has done a miraculous thing in my life.” Furthermore, she claimed that praying helps to detox her anxiety and has done wonders for her body.
The Dirty Love actress called herself “pretty stable” and stated that these “littlest things” were setting her off. However, embracing her faith in Jesus has changed her life for the better. The host asked if she used to go to church, she replied that she was raised catholic and went to “Irish but Catholic school” her whole life, and went to mass twice a week.
Jenny McCarthy Confesses to a More Religious Life
In the same episode of the Heal Squad podcast, Jenny McCarthy considered her to be more Catholic than before, as she is merely just a “follower of Christ.” That was not all because she and her husband have “surrendered” and have dedicated their lives to the Lord.
The Santa Baby actress added that they are “just following that path and trusting the path and honoring what we're here to do through him.” She emphasized that she and her husband would engage in a lot of service to others every day. She added, “We Donnie and I, we end the night praying together. We wake up praying together.”
Interestingly, they have their own Jesus timeouts and would never take a rest from praying, even if they are in a hotel. She would try to incorporate their faith into their child as well, saying prayers before meals, and even kissing religious figures.
