Ivanka Trump Gets Candid on Podcast About Family Pressure.
Ivanka Trump Breaks Silence on ‘Turbulent’ Childhood After Candid Donald Trump Admission
Donald Trump's eldest daughter Ivanka Trump discussed her childhood in a recent interview. In a candid appearance on The Diary of a CEO hosted by Steven Bartlett, the 44-year-old reflected on what it was like growing up as the daughter of Donald Trump. And according to her, it was not always as stable as it appeared publicly.
According to the Irish Star, the first daughter described parts of her childhood as “quite turbulent,” citing the pressures of growing up in a high-profile family. After the episode was released on April 9, Ivanka took to X to reflect on the experience, writing: "This conversation meant a lot to me," adding, "On @thediaryoface, I opened up with @StevenBartlett about some of life’s more defining moments: loss, growth, and the perspective that comes from navigating both."

She continued: "We talked about creativity, love, boundaries, building, parenting and what matters most in this next chapter." Before signing off with: "Grateful to share it." The episode also followed recent attention around her marriage to Jared Kushner, which has recently been the subject of media coverage.
Some listeners responded on social media, with some praising her more open tone. Some responses highlighted how this appearance differed from her previous interviews.. During the interview, Ivanka addressed the pressure she has faced over the years, particularly public perceptions that have suggested distance between her and her father.
Bartlett acknowledged that challenge directly, telling her: "I can see within you that you have a real desire to be like open and transparent, but if I was in your shoes, I'd be thinking, 'Everyone's trying to trip me up, everyone's trying to make a headline on me and my life, they wanna drive a wedge between me and my father.'"
"It's difficult. It must be difficult," he added. Ivanka responded by explaining how she has learned to manage that level of scrutiny: "You know, I think one of the things I've learned under moments in my life of tremendous sort of pressure and scrutiny is to find the signal in the noise and that's probably the thing that has been most helpful to me."

She added: "If you know what you stand for, then it really is just noise." She also addressed long-standing perceptions about her upbringing, particularly claims that her father was not very present during her childhood.
"I wouldn't say absent, but my mother wasn't home cooking us meals, my grandmother was, but my mother was home when we ate them, and then she would go out again. You know, her and my father were actively building their life and pursuing their passions."
She continued: "And for my mom, much like me today, you know one of her creative expressions came in the form of design and architecture, she wasn't absent and you know neither was my father." While acknowledging generational differences, she added: "He was, he filled a more typical male role of that generation, he was less present, but there was never a doubt in my mind that I was his top priority and that he was available to me."
The conversation offered a more personal glimpse into Ivanka Trump’s perspective, balancing public life, family dynamics, and the pressures that come with both.
