The investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance has taken a new turn with DNA evidence has been sent to the FBI laboratory for analysis. DNA Evidence Sent to FBI for 'Advanced Analysis'
According to News Nation’s investigative journalist, Brian Entin, who has been closely following the case, some DNA evidence, including hair found in her home, has been sent to the FBI for “advanced analysis.”
Entin posted the update on X on Thursday, writing, “Some DNA evidence from Nancy Guthrie’s home has been sent to the FBI’s lab for advanced analysis. I am told the evidence includes hairs found in Guthrie's home.” He further added, “This comes after evidence has already been tested through a Florida lab that the Pima County Sheriff's Office uses.”

Officials have reportedly not yet confirmed whether the newly analyzed DNA has yielded any matches or breakthroughs.
According to the Irish Star, the Pima County Sheriff's Department said, “The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has worked in coordination with the FBI since the beginning of this investigation. This is not new information.”
It further added, “As previously stated by the Sheriff, the private laboratory we utilize in Florida continues to share information with the FBI laboratory and other partner labs across the country. DNA analysis remains ongoing, and this investigation is active.”

About Investigation in Nancy Guthrie's Disappearance Case So Far
The report notes that following Guthrie’s disappearance, investigators found evidence of a struggle, including blood, an open back door, and doorbell footage that had been compromised, showing a masked person holstering a gun near the home’s entrance.
The report also notes that, in the early phase of the investigation, DNA testing was conducted on gloves found two miles from home. However, it led to a dead end after a local restaurant worker was cleared of any involvement.

Meanwhile, Sheriff Chris Nanos and his department have also been criticized for the slow approach in investigating Guthrie’s case. There have also been calls for his resignation, as the high-profile case continues to generate national attention while the 84-year-old’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The Irish Star report also mentions that the law enforcement official previously stated that he “opened” the crime scene in the early days of the search, which some believe may have tampered with crucial evidence needed to crack the case and bring Nancy home. The Guthrie family also announced a reward of $1 million for any information regarding their missing mother.

Notably, the latest update in the Guthrie case comes amid Savannah’s exit from the interview after introducing Anne Hathaway, prompting speculation online about whether the move was connected to the ongoing investigation into her mother’s case.
However, according to the Daily Mail, a source clarified that it was a routine move, asserting that it was normal for one host to introduce and another to conduct the interview. It was also revealed that the 54-year-old returned to the set shortly afterward.
