'I’m Not Your Bro': Ted Cruz Slams MAGA Influencer During Fiery Exchange Over Iran Deal
The conflict with Iran might soon come to an end as Secretary of State Marco Rubio has claimed that President Donald Trump is seeking a deal with the Middle Eastern country.
Moreover, the Strait of Hormuz could be reopened, as renegotiations will reportedly be conducted on the nuclear arms issue.
However, the American public didn't seem too convinced and criticized the president's potential deal with Tehran.
Senator Ted Cruz backed the administration's position, despite the final details not yet being finalized. When a young influencer questioned him, Cruz engaged in a fiery exchange, calling the staffer a "child."
'Cool, Ted. No One Asked You, Bro'
Ted Cruz shares his views on the Iran "deal.".
On Sunday, May 24, Cruz wrote a lengthy X post, expressing his concern over criticism surrounding the Trump administration's strategy.
He claimed that Trump’s decision to conduct strikes on Iran was the “most consequential decision of his second term.”
The military campaign bore “extraordinary military results,” Cruz wrote, referring to the destruction of Tehran’s missiles and drones and the sinking of their navy.
He mentioned that more details regarding a potential deal will come out and noted he prays the “early reports are wrong.”
Cruz added, “President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer.”
He doubled down, writing, “He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.”
Alex Bruesewitz responds to Ted Cruz's X post.
Alex Bruesewitz, a Trump staffer and influencer, reshared Cruz's X post, writing, “Cool, Ted. No one asked you, bro. Stop trying to undermine the President and his administration.”
However, the Texas Republican did not appreciate Bruesewitz’s comment, responding, “Hush, child. The adults are talking. I’m not your ‘bro.’ And young political grifters pushing Iran appeasement are not remotely helping the President.”
According to The Independent, Rubio said that the U.S. will either have a good agreement with Iran or deal with them in “another way.”
He told reporters that the administration would focus on diplomacy before looking for other alternatives.
He said that he believed there were good chances that, as part of a deal, the Strait of Hormuz would reopen. Rubio added that both nations can “enter into a very real, significant, time-limited negotiation on the nuclear matter, and hopefully we can pull it off.”
The comments came after Trump’s Truth Social post stating that the U.S. blockade on the strait will remain in effect “until an agreement is reached, certified, and signed.”
Netizens React to Ted Cruz's X Post
Cruz’s lengthy post on X backfired against him as social media users called him out for supporting the military campaign.
One user wrote, “I had to check if this account was a parody. Nope! Just a miserable, pathetic coward doing Bibi’s bidding. Peace through strength? We have never been this vulnerable and it is an oxymoron at that.”
Another user stated, “No, the bottom line is that we never should have gone in there in the first place. I said from day one that Iran was going to beat us like a drum and I was 100% correct.”
“Wow - you just fried yourself. This is what you choose to take your stand on? Not the filibuster, not the Save America Act BUT an Iran Strategy that you still don't know if true? Enjoy your last term. I won't vote for you again,” an individual commented.
“Ted you are a sickening weak traitor... your time is coming to reap what you have sown,” another stated.
One user noted, “And don’t forget: Iranians did not take to the streets for a deal with the regime. The people of Iran demand — and will achieve — regime change.”
