Things got fiery on the Tuesday, March 24, episode of The Megyn Kelly Show when host Megyn Kelly came out swinging at Senator Lindsey Graham and media mogul Rupert Murdoch over their war strategies. It all started with a clip that Kelly showed on her podcast, where Graham was heard saying, “We did Iwo Jima. We can do this. The Marines, my money is always on the Marines.”

Amid the Iran war, Graham's comment came in the context of him advising President Donald Trump to take Iran’s Kharg Island as if it were just another mission. However, it appeared that Kelly wasn’t buying it. According to the podcast host, it was real life, with real soldiers and real risk. That’s when things got personal.

Kelly Targets Graham and Murdoch

Megyn Kelly calls out Lindsey Graham for his comments on the Iran war.

Following Graham’s comments about a possible U.S. military move against Iran, Kelly launched a fierce attack on him. Speaking on her podcast, Kelly said she was shocked by how casually Graham compared the situation to the Battle of Iwo Jima.

Given how thousands of American soldiers died or were wounded at Iwo Jima, Kelly dubbed Graham’s remarks “unbelievable” and accused him of treating war too lightly. “Unbelievable. 6,821 U.S. service personnel died in the battle for Iwo Jima, 19,217 were wounded. How dare he speak about it so cavalierly?” Kelly said. “How dare he? He doesn’t have any kids. He’s not sending a young son or daughter into battle,” she added.

Meanwhile, support for her stance came from lawmakers like Anna Paulina Luna and Nancy Mace, who also criticized Graham. Kelly mentioned, “Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna posting on X that Senator Graham is acting as if our troops are, quote, ‘expendable cattle.’ That’s exactly right.”

However, Kelly's criticism didn’t stop there. She further targeted Murdoch, claiming he was among those encouraging Trump toward a potential conflict. “And now we learn over the weekend that Rupert Murdoch was one of the main people to be goading Trump into this war.”

“Rupert Murdoch, who is 95 years old — he’ll be dead soon. And he too is acting as if our troops are, quote, expendable cattle. You won’t have to live with the consequences of what he’s doing,” Kelly added. She argued that powerful figures like Graham and Murdoch were acting as if troops were “expendable.”

Kelly Says She Speaks Her Mind Without Agenda

During her long, two-hour show, Kelly also called out the growing trend of “canceling” voices that don’t follow the crowd. She started by defending Tucker Carlson, who has faced criticism because of his views on a possible war backed by Trump.

“I was also canned at NBC, though technically it wasn’t a firing in any event. I certainly had my show canceled,” Kelly stated. “So eventually it comes for all of us if we’re going to be super honest about the way we feel,” she added.

Kelly went on, “Because then we get dubbed controversial and we get dubbed all the terrible things and we have to live with that unfortunately, but it’s worth it.. It’s worth it for living free... it’s worth it for living free. I live free.”

Turning the spotlight on herself, Kelly reminded viewers of her own exit from NBC, saying her show was canceled after she was labeled “controversial.” She then asserted that that’s the price of speaking honestly. “There’s no agenda pushing me to say one thing or another, anything other than my own opinion. I don’t take any foreign money. I don’t take any money from the government,” Kelly mentioned.

Referring to media outlets Fox and CNN, Kelly said, “Do you really think you’re going to get objective analysis now over there on how it’s going? Do you? Of course not.” Taking a dig at her former news company, Fox, Kelly asserted that her opinions are fully her own, unlike how information is allegedly provided by CNN and Fox.
