President Donald Trump might grace the NBA Finals, which are scheduled to commence on June 3.

This potential visit, as reported by The New York Times, follows the Eastern Conference victory of the New York Knicks, who secured their spot in the championship series after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers.

If Trump decides to attend the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, it would become one of his most high-profile appearances at a sports event.

He has previously attended the Daytona 500, the Super Bowl, Yankees games, and the U.S. Open men’s final.

The president is also preparing for another major sports event. He is set to host a historic Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) card, UFC Freedom 250, featuring an octagonal cage on the South Lawn of the White House on his birthday, June 14.

As soon as the news of Trump potentially attending the NBA Finals went viral on social media, a number of netizens expressed their opinions on the same.

While some stated that Trump might get booed at the occasion, others took a dig at his ongoing White House ballroom renovation, which is reportedly budgeted at $400 million.

One user wrote, “He just has to try to ruin everything for everyone."

Amid this, one user took a dig at Trump for not attending his son, Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding with Bettina Anderson, which took place in West Pam Beach, Florida, on May 21.

The couple celebrated their nuptials in a private ceremony on May 23, in a private island in the Bahamas.

The president did not attend either of the two ceremonies.
