'Grifting Piece of Garbage': Internet Trashes Joe Rogan as He Calls Trump’s Immunity IRS Deal 'Crazy'

Podcaster Joe Rogan has called out the Department of Justice (DOJ) for providing President Donald Trump and his family an escape from any kind of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audits on their past tax returns.

However, as a video clip of Rogan's recent podcast went viral on social media, the internet pointed out his alleged hypocrisy as someone who has supported Trump before.

During a recent episode of his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience — which was released on Monday, May 25, and featured comedian Tom Segura as a guest — Rogan openly criticized the president's IRS settlement.

The podcaster was referring to a settlement between Trump and the DOJ in response to a $10 billion lawsuit that the president, his family, and the Trump Organization filed against the U.S. Department of the Treasury in early January.

The lawsuit was filed because of an alleged leak of the president’s tax records to media houses during his first term in office.

Bashing the settlement, Rogan said, “That is so crazy.”

He compared the development to someone who is accused of killing another getting a free pass from all murder charges.

“Imagine somebody accused you of murder. And it turns out you weren't guilty of that murder, and then you sue them, and you go, You can never prosecute me for murder again. And then you just go straight Uday Hussein,” Rogan said.

This was a reference to Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein’s eldest son, Uday Hussein, who was notoriously brutal in his approach, according to The Guardian.

However, following the podcaster's comments, some social media users called out his alleged hypocrisy.

Rogan supported and endorsed Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

One social media user wrote, “When the chips are down, Joe Rogan always sides with the racists, fascists, and his own wallet because he is a grifting piece of garbage. Don’t fall for Joe’s fake empathy.”

Another user added, “Look, Rogan just going where the wind blows yet again. He helped make all of this possible and still profits from it.”

An individual commented, “Rogan acting like this is the first he has heard of the crimes being committed daily by this regime.”

One user pointed out that Rogan laughed about Trump’s IRS settlement while speaking on the same during his podcast.

The comment read, “Why does he laugh about it?"

“This level of corruption is ending our country. Not exactly a laughing matter. Totally expected from an imbecile like Rogan,” stated another user.
