Lola Young On Her Battle With Addiction
Young has shared her long battle with addiction, including a five-week treatment center stay in November 2024 to address cocaine dependence, prior to recording her album I'm Only F–king Myself, released in September 2025.
"There were a lot of things going on for me personally," she told The Times. "I was going through a lot of mental health issues, a lot of battling with addiction."

Encouraging those on a recovery journey, Lola Young shared in her The Times interview, "You have to be kind to yourself. You have to always remember that you are not alone. You are not ever, ever alone."
