Did the release of the Jeffrey Epstein Files erode the trust of the American public in the Republican Party? Former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene believes such is the case after Thomas Massie's defeat in the much-talked-about Kentucky Republican primary election.

Massie was unseated by Ed Gallrein, a retired Navy SEAL heavily endorsed by President Donald Trump.

Greene claimed that continuous establishment efforts to suppress the infamous Epstein files have functioned as a great bane for the party.

She suggested that while every institutional effort was initially made to prevent the disclosure of the files to the public, the revelations will ultimately serve as a political catalyst for the Republican Party's exit, and in her words, destroy the party's future.

Marjorie Taylor Greene praises Thomas Massie after the latter's loss in the Kentucky Republican primary election.

The high-stakes political shift solidified on Tuesday, May 19, during the primary election for Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District, where Massie faced a major loss against Gallrein.

According to a video captured by the CNN pool camera, the president openly celebrated the outcome, telling reporters, “We won the Massie thing. He was a bad guy. He deserved to lose.”

Massie has long stood as one of the most prominent critics of the administration on Capitol Hill, famously opposing the speakership of Mike Johnson in early 2025 and rejecting Trump's signature tax legislation, known as the One Big, Beautiful Bill.

Massie argued that the the One Big, Beautiful Bill would explode the national budget deficit.

Crucially, the Kentucky lawmaker worked alongside Democratic Representative Ro Khanna to successfully pass the bipartisan Epstein Files Transparency Act through Congress in November 2025.

Following Massie's primary ouster, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung emphasized the administration's political leverage on X, writing, “Do not ever doubt President Trump and his political power. F*** around, find out.”

Greene expressed deep disappointment with the election's outcome and immediately stepped forward to defend Massie, stating she was proud and thankful to work next to him in the House of Representatives while branding him a “giant among weak pathetic men.”

She said, “Releasing the Epstein files was our demise. But it was worth every single bit because now everyone knows the truth.”

She further warned that everyday Americans are currently ruled by an entrenched “Epstein class” that disregards the masses due to the controlling influence of a powerful foreign lobby.

Concluding her remarks, Greene stated, “Tonight the future of the Republican Party was destroyed,” but predicted that a distinct "Real America First Movement" would inevitably rise.

“Let us pray that we have a country left by the time these creatures are gone,” the former Trump ally concluded.

Netizens Weigh in on Thomas Massie's Loss

Greene’s analysis has gained widespread attention from the American public, with many online observers expressing agreement with her sentiments.

The internet was flooded with sharp criticism against the Trump administration.

One user wrote, “I’m no longer voting anymore, we don’t have a democracy, we have billionaires buying seats in Congress with their puppets who always seem ex-military. I’m officially moving to Russia.”

Another user stated, “There is no way we will have a country left. Do we even still have one now? I'm definitely never voting again. What a pointless exercise.”

An individual commented, “Trump fooled us all. He's pure Epstein class,” sharing a picture of Trump and Epstein.

One user wrote, “With the amount of money that Israel is pouring into our elections should be a wake up call to every American!”

“Donald Trump has betrayed his base. MAGA has turned into MIGA. Israel is quite literally buying American elections,” noted another.
