'Forgiving Others': Karoline Leavitt Shares Emotional 'Never Regret' Post As She Awaits Her Second Child
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is getting attention online after sharing a heartfelt but cryptic post on social media. Awaiting the birth of her second child, Leavitt shared a post on life and regrets.
The 28-year-old mother of one took to her Instagram to write about the things people will “never regret” doing. Her short list included simple and emotional ideas like praying, calling one's mom, reading the Bible, and being thankful.
Why Did Leavitt’s Post Make Headlines?
The post talks about a generic list of things that people won't ever regret doing.
Taking to her official Instagram account, Leavitt shared her thoughts with her followers. She shared a post from @living_christian on her story, about how people will “never regret: Praying, Putting your phone down, listening over talking, calling your mom, reading the bible.”
The post that Leavitt shared on her Instagram story further continued her list about things people won't regret, like “investing in memories, being thankful, forgiving others, forgiving yourself, giving a compliment, drinking more water, saying 'I love you,' and trusting God.”
Meanwhile, the post quickly caught people’s attention because of how honest and relatable it felt for some. For others, it's the timing that raised eyebrows. Given how she shared the calm and thoughtful message during such a busy and stressful time in politics, people wondered about the deeper message behind the story.
Her post comes as President Donald Trump sparks headlines for the recent C-SPAN broadcast on March 20. During the event, cameras showed the president suddenly walking away from reporters while they were asking questions. Now, people are curious about whether Leavitt's post had something to do with the incident.
The Press Secretary's Pregnancy Made History
In addition to her cryptic Instagram story, Leavitt has also been in the spotlight for her personal life. She recently celebrated her baby shower and shared happy news about her growing family with her husband Nicholas Riccio.
The couple already has a young son, who was born in July 2024. However, in December 2025, Leavitt announced on Instagram that they are expecting a baby girl in May 2026. She described the pregnancy as “the greatest Christmas gift” and said her family feels grateful and excited.
Meanwhile, Leavitt's pregnancy has also been historic, as she's believed to be the first serving White House press secretary to be pregnant while holding the role. While it sounds iconic, it comes with a fair share of challenges.
After giving birth to her son, the 28-year-old had to skip maternity leave due to her strong sense of duty. "I had just brought my newborn, my three-day-old baby home from the hospital," she said, as Trump was targeted on live TV. "I looked at my husband and said, 'Looks like I'm going back to work,'" Karoline told The Conservateur.
“I felt compelled to be present in this historic moment. The president literally put his life on the line to win this election. The least I could do is get back to work quickly," she added.
