Ego Nwodim is ready for what the future holds after leaving Saturday Night Live earlier this year.
"I learned so much at SNL, and it's informed so much of what I'm doing now — the skillset I gained and honed while there," the comedian, 37, exclusively tells Morning Honey while talking about her partnership with Scotch™ Brand and how to prevent the spread of Resting Gift Face.
As for what's next, she says, "Getting to do my podcast, 'Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim,' getting to work with Mindy Kaling on the Hulu series Not Suitable for Work and some projects that yet to be announced. It's so exciting. I am looking forward to the future."

The comedian is 'excited' for what's next.
The star admits it's "so fun" to "get to do a variety of work" and dip into many mediums. "I think it keeps things super fresh and exciting for me," she states. "I get to scratch all my itches in various ways and also interact with so many different people from set to set an from the podcast and such. It's super exciting — what I love about it is just how fresh it all feels all the time."
"I'm getting to live my dreams, and that's been very fun," she continues. "I'm getting to do TV here and there, and I'm having a ball doing it all! I'm so grateful I get to do what I get to do, and if I inspire anyone, that's amazing, too, and a bonus. I feel really fortunate for the life I get to lead."

The actress left 'SNL' earlier this year.
The actress says after being in the industry for quite some time, it's important to have "pretty thick skin."
"You have to get used to failing and then try again," she states. "That is probably a great life skill to have, and so that would be my advice to anyone pursuing comedy is to get used to bombing and then trying again, getting up and trying again despite however yesterday went."
"I wake up most days thinking I am so grateful for this life. The work I get to do is such a unique gift that I get to be in this position, and so I will wake up with a lot of gratitude for that most days," she adds.
Ahead of the holiday season, Nwodim is partnering with Scotch™ Brand, which is introducing the concept of Resting Gift Face (RGF)*, the unmistakable expression that occurs when you receive a gift that doesn’t quite hit the mark.
She stars in a comedic PSA-style video raising awareness of Resting Gift Face, demonstrating how the right tools and a little creativity in wrapping and packaging can transform the gift-giving experience and help spread more joy this holiday season.

The starlet is 'excited' about this new campaign.
"I am excited about this campaign. When they explained to me what RGF is, I thought, 'Oh, you've just given a name to this thing that we've all experienced when giving or receiving gifts at some point.' No matter how good of a gift giver you are, it's happened to you," she quips. "It's such a funny concept because it's so relatable, and now, Scotch™ Brand has a solution to help fix this! I thought it would be fun to be involved in."
In order to prevent RGF, she says: "Get Scotch™ Brand! It makes wrapping the gift easy. I'm not a great wrapper, and this tape has made it so much easier. It looks neater and prettier. I would say be mindful if you can and make sure you're giving a thoughtful gift. If you're trying to excel at gift-giving, let's be thoughtful about what we are giving! Let's all be grateful to be receiving gifts."

Ego Nwodim wants people to enjoy the campaign.
"I hope people enjoy the campaign — get the tape to help them! It's all fun and exciting," she concludes.
