'Don't Love His Girlfriend’: Trump Takes Apparent Jab at Marjorie Taylor Greene While Speaking to Her Fiancé
President Donald Trump seemingly referenced his public dispute with former Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene while answering a question from her fiancé, Real America's Voice correspondent Brian Glenn, in the Oval Office on Thursday, April 30.
Trump's apparent dig at Greene came when the president was answering a filibuster-related question.
'It's Great That He Hasn't Changed'
Donald Trump addresses Brian Glenn during a recent press interaction.
On Thursday, April 30, Trump spoke briefly with the press at the Oval Office regarding a recent filibuster related to funding for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
During the press conference, Glenn asked Trump about a post on Truth Social where the president urged Senate Republicans to end the filibuster in question.
“It is a big issue with MAGA. MAGA wants you to get rid of it. Why don't they do it?” Glenn asked.
To this, Trump replied, “I have no idea. You know why? I guess because they have three or four that are like hardline.”
The president then said that Republicans had a small majority and told Senator John Thune to hold a vote.
Following this, Trump seemingly deviated from the topic and addressed Glenn directly, calling him a “great guy.”
“Even though I don't love his girlfriend too much, okay, I won't tell you who the girlfriend is,” Trump said, pointing to Glenn.
Attendees burst into laughter hearing the president's comments.
“But I like him, and I've always liked him. It's great that he hasn't changed,” Trump added, before getting back to addressing the issue.
The dispute between Greene and Trump reportedly escalated in 2025. Prior to that, Greene had been a vocal supporter of Trump and his policies.
However, Greene publicly criticized Trump on X in June 2025 regarding campaign promises. The two heavily disagreed over the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Greene later left Congress. During a previous interview with NBC News, Greene said she was not “some sort of blind slave to the president, and I don’t think anyone should be.”
Netizens React to Donald Trump's Comments
Social media users discussed the exchange between Trump and Glenn online. Many netizens called out the president for what seemed like an apparent dig at Greene in front of her fiancé.
One user wrote, “You’d think he could do better than flipping outdated gossip with a far-right toxic diva — proves even Trump has standards, however low they might be.”
Another stated, “Wonder what it’s like behind the scenes, Glenn licking Trump's boots while MTG can’t stand Trump.”
An individual commented, “He does love the poorly educated, Brian Glenn being one of them in more ways than one.”
“Anyone who ever disagrees with him on the Epstein Files he does not like. Concerning,” one user stated.
An individual opined, “He couldn’t even manage a simple compliment without dragging in a personal jab —about a woman who isn’t even part of the exchange. It’s juvenile, it’s unnecessary, and it turns every moment into petty drama instead of leadership. Pathetic AND predictable!”
One user criticized Glenn, commenting, “Such chivalry these maga men have just let this dude talk [expletive] on ur girl real manly of u @brianglenntv.”
