Donald Trump Allegedly Denied Access to Nuclear Codes by Military Head Amid Iran War
Donald Trump Reportedly Faced Unprecedented Resistance Over Nuclear Codes Amid Iran War
Amid the ongoing conflict with Iran, President Donald Trump reportedly was denied access to U.S. nuclear codes by a senior U.S. military chief. A retired CIA analyst shared the update during a recent conversation, in which he discussed an alleged emergency Saturday meeting with Trump.
While speaking on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s YouTube show, "Judging Freedom," former CIA analyst Larry Johnson made unverified claims. Johnson, who comments on national security matters, claimed that Trump wanted access to the nuclear codes related to Iran.
However, Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, allegedly refused the request. The incident reportedly occurred during the alleged emergency meeting on Saturday.
CIA analyst Larry Johnson claims Trump tried accessing nuclear codes.
He said officials identified potential issues related to the ongoing conflict with Iran and the need to address them. He said, “One report coming out of that meeting at the White House is that Trump wanted to use the nuclear codes and Gen. Dan Caine stood up and said ‘No’.”
He added, “He invoked his privilege as the head of the military, so to speak. It was apparently quite a blow-up. There are pictures of Caine coming out of that meeting with his head down to the ground. There are some very bizarre things going on in DC.”

According to The Mirror US, the claims have not been verified, and it remains unclear how the nuclear codes would be used even if they were accessed. In addition, there are no confirmed reports about an emergency meeting at the Pentagon on Saturday, April 18.
A Pentagon briefing was held on April 16, during which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth appeared alongside Caine.
The Mirror US report further notes that the claims have come amid claims that Trump was excluded from the Situation Room during a high-stakes Iran rescue mission.
The president was reportedly kept out of the key discussions due to concerns about his temperament. The report states that the top officials believed that Trump’s unpredictability could interfere with the operation.
According to a Wall Street Journal report published days earlier, the 79-year-old president reportedly yelled at officials for hours after learning that two American airmen were missing when an F-15 Eagle was shot down over Iran on April 3.

Reports also claimed that Trump was later kept out of key war room briefings as the crisis unfolded. He also reportedly criticized European allies for not assisting and demanded that the military rescue the two airmen immediately.
Sources close to the matter also stated that Trump’s fears about how the conflict was unfolding "were ramping up." He reportedly was worried about sending troops into danger, fearing some could be injured or not return home.
He also was reportedly focused on comparisons to the Iran hostage crisis, with memories of that major foreign policy crisis "looming large" in his mind.
The United States and Israel reportedly launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28. In response, Iran reportedly targeted several Middle East sites and closed the Strait of Hormuz trade route.
