An unsettling incident has taken place on a Disney cruise ship docked in San Diego.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) arrested 28 cruise staff members for allegedly being involved in a child s*xual exploitation material (CSEM).
The authorities had been boarding several cruise ships as part of the investigation, keeping specific details of the cruise anonymous.
The incident has garnered much attention and sparked discussions on the internet.
'These Criminals Are Being Removed From Our Country'
According to a report by The New York Post, CBP agents boarded five cruise ships between April 23 and April 25.
The agents alleged that following this, they found out about the presence of an ongoing child p*********y racket.
A CBP spokesperson told the outlet that after learning about the illegal activity, they began an investigation regarding the same.
The probe led to the arrests of 26 crew members from the Philippines, one from Portugal and one from Indonesia.
An X post highlights the arrest of 28 Disney cruise ship staff members.
“Officers confirmed all subjects were involved in either the receipt, possession, transportation, distribution, or viewing of CSEM,” the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson stated that the visas of these individuals’ were canceled and "these criminals are being removed from our country."
However, a Disney spokesperson said that the company has “zero-tolerance for this type of behavior and fully cooperated with law enforcement,” adding that the 28 individuals were no longer associated with Disney.
The Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department confirmed in a report that CBP agents conducted the arrests independently without local police involvement.
The report also stated which additional ships the crew members were a part of.
Notably, former Disney employees were previously arrested in a 2015 sting operation and a 2022 undercover operation regarding human trafficking.

In 2023, political commentator Dom Lucre posted on X alleging Disney sent children to Little St. James Island, previously owned by late s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The claims, however, remain unverified.
In a 2022 report by The Associated Press, Disney denied ties to Epstein, stating the company “never had plans involving the island.”
