Russell Crowe was seen giving a stern instruction to a group of fans who had lined up outside a Paris hotel to get his autograph.

Even though he signed autographs for them, Crowe asked them to behave themselves in a rather intimidating manner.

While this could have led to a debate on whether the Hollywood royalty was being rude to his fans, several social media users came out in support of his actions.

Crowe, who was in Paris with his girlfriend, Britney Theriot, to watch an opening round match of the French Open tennis championships on Sunday, May 24, was heard saying in the viral video, “Are you listening? Stay where you are, don’t f****** push in on me. I’ll come to you. Give everyone space. As soon as somebody is a d***, I’m gone. You got me?”

The actor was seen sporting a casual dark blue tee and matching pants, along with tinted sunglasses.

After the video went viral on X, social media users came out in support of the Nuremberg actor, and chatter around a celebrity’s personal space and privacy gained traction.

One user wrote, “I don’t blame him. Those people are vultures with no regard for anyone but themselves. Good for him. Boundaries.”

Another user added, “This honestly seemed pretty fair from Russell? Set some boundaries, stayed, and signed autographs. What’s the issue?”

An individual commented, “He was setting clear boundaries with the crowd. People were pushing in pretty aggressively, and he still took time to sign for fans.”

“Bro is a human like everyone else. He does not want to get pushed on. All he did was state some ground rules,” noted one user.

One user chimed in, “He is absolutely right. With all the contagious diseases going around, watch your personal space.”

“Seems like a reasonable request to me. While some celebrities truly turn me off, we sometimes forget that they are real people. I would not want people swamping or pushing in on me either. So in this case, I do not blame him,” opined one person.

Another claimed, “The man did absolutely NOTHING wrong. He communicated clear boundaries and asked people to respect them. I admire him for setting the tone with hyper-aggressive people.”

He sported a navy blue suit along with a grey waistcoat, which he complemented with a blue tie and tinted sunglasses.

Another viral moment of the actor from the occasion included him trying to catch a tennis ball during a showdown between tennis players Benjamin Bonzi and Alexander Zverev.

The Sleeping Dogs actor managed to catch the ball, much to the happiness of the crowd, who were quick to applaud him.

Crowe, 62, has been dating Theriot, 42, for reportedly five years now. The pair first sparked romance rumors in November 2020 when they were spotted kissing while playing tennis.
