Billie Eilish addressed the questions about her recent political comments and touched on the subject of her brother, Finneas O'Connell, in an interview with Elle. She defended her comments about the administration and laid out the reasons why she and Finneas will "never have a falling out."

Eilish also explained how her political views were shaped and how she uses her influence to make a change. And even though Finneas did not tour with her recently, he is still part of her creative process.

Billie wasn't raised to sit on the sidelines

When the singer attended the Grammys this year, her mission was clear. Wearing an "ICE Out" pin, she criticized the immigration enforcement agency, as well as billionaires and their wealth. The speech hit some conservative fans hard, so much so that Eilish defended her decision to speak out about it when she spoke with the magazine.

"I was raised like this," she said, before adding, "Why is it controversial to step in when someone's getting bullied and try to stop it?"

The Oscar winner took home the "Song of the Year" Grammy for her track Wildflower. In her acceptance speech she said, "no one is illegal on stolen land," before encouraging the audience to carry on protesting. "I feel like we just need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting, and our voices really do matter, and the people matter, and f— ICE," she said.

Eilish leads giving away wealth by example

It was also at another awards event that Eilish targeted billionaires for not giving away a portion of their wealth. At the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards in October, she asked, “If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire?”

The artist added, “People need empathy and help more than ever. Especially in our country.…If you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it.”

And staying on the direct path, she called out Elon Musk over his wealth on social media. She called him a "pathetic" and a "coward" for not pitching in with humanitarian aid relief projects.

Eilish put her money where her mouth is, and pledged $11.5 million of the revenue from her tour towards charity. She used her platform and led by example, showing other celebrities and wealthy people how she parted with nearly a quarter of her net worth.

Finneas and Billie Will Remain BFFs

Since the beginning of her career, Billie Eilish's brother Finneas has co-written and produced a lot of her music. Recently, there have been rumors of a rift between the siblings because she toured without him for the first time in her career.

The singer dismissed the idea of tension between them, pointing to the fact that they are working on her next album together and he did, however, join her for select performances. She said that the album was already "more than half way complete."

Eilish explained that the rumors were untrue, stating, "Finneas and I have never and will never have a falling-out, ever in our lives. We’ll get in the biggest f— fight you’ve ever heard of in your life…and five minutes later, we’re back, laughing and making music."

The star then underscored how important her brother is to her creative process, saying, "If I never saw Finneas at all, I might literally never make a song again…. But how do we move on and have separate lives?”
