Natalie Maines' post against Donald Trump has drawn the ire of the White House.
'A Despicable Nobody': White House Fires Back at The Chicks' Natalie Maines Over Brutal Trump Rant
The Chicks singer Natalie Maines has been outspoken about her political views, and in a recent social media post, she lashed out at President Donald Trump and his administration.
Following this, White House has fired back at the artist, strongly criticizing her comments regarding the president.
However, Maines' post has received considerable support from social media users.
Natalie Maines' Profanity-Laden Instagram Post Against Donald Trump
Natalie Maines blasts Donald Trump in an Instagram post.
On May 18, Maines shared a profanity-laden post on her Instagram account, where she called out Trump and his cabinet members.
In the post, she shared photos from the 2021 Capitol riot and wrote, “Our democracy is disappearing right before our eyes. This f**** s*** is using your gas money to pay the insurrectionists. But don’t worry about it.”
She sarcastically wrote that posting selfies will solve everything and stated her last post, where she called Trump a “f***ly s**t,” was removed from the platform.
“We'll see how long this one lasts. Repost and help the message live,” she added, reminding followers that the president was named in the infamous Jeffrey Epstein files.
In the aftermath of the online attack against Trump, a spokesperson from the White House issued a statement to Fox News, saying, “Natalie Maines is a despicable nobody who clearly suffers from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that has rotted her peanut-sized brain.”
While the White House has reacted to Maines' rant, Trump himself hasn't responded to the post.
Notably, Maines had also spoken out against the Iraq War in 2003, during a concert with The Chicks in London.
According to reports, she told her fans at the time, “We do not want this war, this violence. And we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas.”
The comments had a far-reaching effect: her former fans burned the band’s CDs, and their songs were no longer streamed, leading to them being blacklisted.
'You Were Right in 2003 and You Are Today'
While people were fuming in 2003, the situation appears to have changed in 2026.
Several social media users expressed their support for Maines after her post against Trump.
One user wrote, “Never stop using your voice!! Grateful for you!!”
Another stated, “I have to tab my browsers every day at work, and every freakin day it’s his face. I hope the next time I see his face, it’s behind bars. You have been such a strong advocate for political correctness and been struck down for it. Keep on keepin' on because you’ve always been an inspiration for what’s right. In more ways than one.”
“Just opened Instagram to his face on this post and I thought IT finally happened,” commented one user.
An individual demanded, “We need a new album to deal with this, Natalie, I beg of you.”
“Get it, Natalie! You were right in 2003 and you are today,” stated one user.
